ウィーヘラルトは言う、この方剤は諸般の熱病で劇しい者に処方して奇効があると。この薬剤は精神昏沈を回復させ、数脈を減らす効果がある。硇砂精は硇砂から分離抽出した精液である。その性質は滲透揮発性で、気が噴出して鼻を撲つ。碩が按ずるに、この擦剤を用いるには法則があり、論じないわけにはいかない。脈が弱い者には距里（足の親指の付け根）に擦り、嘔吐や吃逆がある者には胃の部位に擦り、喘急する者には胸膈に擦り、下痢がある者には臍部に擦り、尿閉する者には臍下に擦る。蒸剤でも同様である。
第三章 白芥糊剤の効験
白芥は辛刺で走竄し、鬱を通じて滞りを行らせ、沈を撥ね起こして痺れを復活させる。このため邪熱が上炎して下身が冷える者に、足蹠または腓腸に貼ると、焮腫を起こして水泡を発するものは極めて効験がある。

右二味を混合して泥状にし、気が噴出して鼻を裂くようになれば用いる。
白芥は味が辛く、気が奔って全身に達し、特に神経を刺激する。故に麻痺を回復させ、滞りを流し、結を解く。

The same applies to steaming agents.
Chapter Three: Efficacy of White Mustard Paste
White mustard is acrid and penetrating, coursing and rushing, opening stagnation and promoting flow, arousing what has sunk and restoring what is paralyzed. Therefore, for those with pathogenic heat flaming upward and coldness in the lower body, applying it to the sole of the foot or calf muscle to induce swelling and blistering is extremely effective.

Mix these two ingredients to form a paste. When vapors burst forth as if splitting the nose, it is ready for use.
White mustard has an acrid taste, its qi rushes throughout the body, and particularly stimulates the nerves. Therefore, it restores paralysis, promotes flow of stagnation, and resolves binding.
