私がこのことを心に疑問として抱いてから十余年が今に至っています。近頃、涼庭氏が西洋医学から伝えた拔的乙神経疫の説を聞き、初めて長年の疑問が一気に解消され、その治療法を得ることができました。
そもそも気運（時代の流れ）は一定ではなく、昔はあったが今はないものがあり、今はあるが昔はなかったものがあります。疑問を持つ者はその理由を究めることができますが、疑問を持たない者は結局のところ無知のままに終わります。ああ、世の中で疑問を持たない人が

思うに、この病証の治療は大体において発散・刺激を主とするものの、慣れてしまって効果がないことを患うのです。附子の刺激の力は、ただ一つ持続的な効果を持つので、私がかつて施した治療は、おそらく「法度の中に新意を出す」と言われるものに近いものだったのでしょう。

I have harbored doubts about this matter in my heart for more than ten years until now. Recently, I heard about the theory of bateki-otsu neurological epidemic that Mr. Ryōtei transmitted from Western medicine, and for the first time my long-standing doubts were suddenly resolved and I was able to obtain the treatment method.

Generally speaking, the treatment of this condition primarily relies on dispersing and stimulating methods, but one suffers from the fact that patients become accustomed to them and they become ineffective. The stimulating power of aconite alone can endure for a long time, so my previous treatments were perhaps close to what is called "bringing forth new ideas within established methods."
