現代語訳
東野村の綿引惣兵衛の母は、今年九十二歳になり、自分で白木綿二反を織って、上様（将軍）に献上したところ、三月二十四日にお書きやお歌などを賜ったということである。

別紙の□の花押は簾中、明子は松姫、孝子は八代姫である。娘たちなどは普段短冊などこのような大きなものは書かないので、特に出来が良くない。全て正式な書として書いたものである。

「百年に近い女性の織った布、長い齢に私もあやかりたいものだ」

「老人は帛（絹）でなければ暖まらない 南山 □□」

「九十余りの老婆が自ら織るという布を見せてもらって、これに歌を詠めとおっしゃって」
英語訳
The mother of Watabiki Sobei from Higashino Village, who turned ninety-two this year, wove two bolts of white cotton cloth by herself and presented them to His Lordship (the Shogun). On the 24th day of the third month, she received written works and poems in return.
Imperial handwriting:
The flower seal □ on the separate paper belongs to the Renchu (lady behind the screen), Akiko is Princess Matsu, and Takako is Princess Yashiro. The daughters usually do not write on large pieces like tanzaku poem cards, so this is particularly well done. Everything was written as formal calligraphy.

"The cloth woven by a woman approaching one hundred years - may I too be blessed with such long life"
Middle Counselor:
"The elderly cannot keep warm without silk cloth - Nanzan □□"
Former Lady behind the Screen:
"Showing me the cloth that a woman of over ninety years wove herself, you bid me compose a poem about this"
