其方儀先年御用方相勤候節 上之御孝慈奉
離間軽慢不臣之所行有之猶又御家政向之儀
ニ付而ハ追々従
公辺御指図又ハ御老中方心付候而相達候振
も有之所其時々彼是偽弁ヲ以テ申掠メ旨意

一 太田丹波守
その方は先年御用方を相勤めた節、上の御孝慈を離間し、軽慢不臣の所行があった。なお又御家政向きの儀について、追々公辺から御指図又は御老中方が心付いて相達する振りもあったところ、その時々彼是偽弁をもって申し掠め、旨意相届け式は押し隠し置く等の廉、不一端偽言雑説を取り上げ、黜陟賞罰を行い、賄賂を貪り、不正の始末等があるのみならず、御用方転除の後も以前の通り再勤致すべきとの意念を含み、彼是手数を相施した段、畏れ多くも上の御後を暗くする致し方、不束至極であるところ、家柄を思し召され、寛大な御仁恵をもって隠居を申し付けられ、悴専吉へ千石を下し置かれる。相慎んで罷り在るべきものである。

父丹波守は此度隠居慎みを申し付けられ、その方へ家督として地方千石を下し置かれ、上の寄合へお入れ遊ばされる旨を仰せ出されるものである。

When you served in official capacity in previous years, you engaged in conduct that alienated His Lordship's filial devotion and showed disrespectful and unloyal behavior toward your superiors. Furthermore, regarding domain administration matters, there were occasions when directives came from the bakufu or notifications were conveyed by the senior councilors, yet at such times you used false arguments to deflect them, concealing the proper delivery of intentions, and other charges including spreading unreliable false statements and rumors, conducting appointments and dismissals with rewards and punishments, greedily accepting bribes, and engaging in improper dealings. Not only this, but even after being removed from official duties, you harbored intentions to be reinstated as before and engaged in various schemes to this end. Such conduct that darkens His Lordship's future prospects is extremely unruly. However, in consideration of your family lineage and through magnanimous imperial benevolence, you are ordered into retirement, and one thousand koku is granted to your son Senkichi. You must conduct yourself with restraint.
