たし声をかけ追候へハ市中の方え押参り候
を町中にても大勢出候而右同断ニ追へハ又
々引返龍ケ崎の方よりあばの方え押参り候
由通り候筋潰家破家等数多有之候由其節ハ大
雷大雨大風にて雷ハ殊之外つよく所々え落
候よし上境村紺屋理平使のものより今日承
り申候此もの折節土浦え出居右の竜巻を見
候よし黒雲巻あるき大雷大雨誠ニおそろし
き様子之よし咄ニ御座候

声をかけて追い払ったところ、市中の方へ押し寄せて来たが、町中でも大勢が出て同様に追い払うと、また引き返して龍ケ崎の方からあばの方へ押し寄せて行った由。通った筋では潰れた家や破れた家等が数多くあった由。その時は大雷・大雨・大風で、雷は格別に強く所々に落ちた由。上境村の紺屋理平の使いの者から今日聞いた。この者はたまたま土浦へ出ており、右の竜巻を見た由。黒雲が巻いて歩き、大雷・大雨で誠に恐ろしい様子であった由の話である。
十九日 宵から大雨で冷気である。午前七時頃から雨が静かになる。丑寅風で冷気があり時々雨が降る（袷着用、七十二度）。夜中は格別に冷気である。
二十日 朝小雨、丑寅風で冷気である。午前八時頃から雨が止み、終日曇り空で持続的に冷気である（袷着用）。
二十一日 朝曇り、午前八時頃から晴れて少し暑気。
二十二日 朝から快晴、暑気強し、少々風あり。

当月十五日、滑川観音のもとより一里四方ほどの所に雨氷が降り、青いものが一つも無くなった由。江戸表では十五、六日大雷雨であった由。

At that time there was great thunder, heavy rain, and strong wind, with exceptionally strong lightning striking in various places. I heard this today from a messenger of the dyer Rihei from Kamisakai village. This person happened to be in Tsuchiura and witnessed the tornado. He said the black clouds swirled about with great thunder and heavy rain in a truly frightening manner.

On the 15th of this month, hail fell in an area of about one ri square around Namerikawa Kannon temple, and not a single green thing remained. In Edo, there was great thunder and rain on the 15th and 16th.
