大風吹出シ候節所々出火のことくニ光見ゆる
上町よりハ下町七軒町辺出火と相見又ミな
と壱弐丁辺ニも相見市毛辺ニも光相見候下
町よりは上町辺ニ出火有之と相見湊にても
同断之由地気を発し候勢ひにて所々光り見
へ候哉在々にてハ火の玉軒下位まて飛来り
候様ニ見候所も有之よし
江戸表も同断行梅辺ハ火の玉飛めくり候よ

大風吹き出し候節、所々出火のごとくに光り見ゆる。上町よりは下町七軒町辺出火と相見え、またみなと一二丁辺にも相見え、市毛辺にも光り相見え候。下町よりは上町辺に出火これありと相見え、湊にても同断の由。地気を発し候勢いにて所々光り見え候や。在々にては火の玉軒下くらいまで飛来り候様に見候所もこれあるよし。
江戸表も同断、行梅辺は火の玉飛び回り候よし。

When the great wind began to blow, light appeared everywhere as if fires had broken out. From the upper town, it appeared as if fires had started in the lower town around Shichikenmachi area, and also appeared around one or two blocks from the harbor, and light was also seen around the Ichige area. From the lower town, it appeared as if fires had broken out around the upper town area, and the same was reported at the harbor. Perhaps the light was visible everywhere due to the force of the earth's energy being released. In rural areas, there were reportedly places where fireballs appeared to fly down to about the height of house eaves.
The same occurred in Edo, and around Yukiume area fireballs reportedly flew about.
The regular express messenger was passing through Koganehara during the great wind when he saw straight beams of light seven times in the direction of Edo. The same reportedly occurred during last year's earthquake.
From around Oyama toward the Shimotsuke region there was no particularly strong wind, and around Aizu it was reported to be so calm that the wind barely blew at all. To the north, [this calm extended] as far as the Iwaki region.
