現代語訳

御戸代会御神事次第《六月二十九日・晦日・七月朔日》 六月二十九日御戸代会次第 まず前日に神馬屋の北西に猿楽の舞台を構え、神馬屋の後ろと湯屋を楽屋とする。 《右の儀は六月二十九日(小月の場合は二十八日)の辰の刻に六役の輩に大工をして建てさせる。今は修理方に建てさせている。これにより六役の輩には着座の仮屋並びに橋掛の松等を建てさせて了り退下させ、己の刻になってさらに神馬屋北の辺りの見物の場所並びに二の鳥居前等に向かわせる》 《五郎太郎並びに人夫に割り振って机杭を打ち縄を張って了り見物の場所とする。小割については十手の若役が沙汰することは競馬の時の如し》 同日晩景に猿楽師が神主・正祢宜並びに一老の亭に来て勧盃の儀がある《先にこれより別当大夫の亭で勧盃の事があり了り、別当大夫が上下を着て案内となり、猿楽師は素襖を着る》 今夜御戸代会の内宴として二の鳥居前で猿楽三番がある《南向きでこれを勤める、もっとも松尾の方に向かうという》 まずこれより猿田彦神の神形を捧持し並びに笛・大鼓等を携えて拍子を打ちながら二の鳥居前に参進する《これは猿楽師の語り合いの輩四人であるが、三人は素襖を着て笛・大鼓・鼓等を捧持し、一人は麻の上下を着て聖神寺より一の鳥居・酒殿橋等を経て神馬屋築地西の辺りに至る。その時矢刀祢が神形を持って来て上下を着た輩に授けるので、これを請け取って拍子を打ち先行し、本路を経て二の鳥居の前に至り、北に向かって暫時拍手を打って猶予する(俗に楽屋入りという)。その時矢刀祢が来てて神形を請け取って了り各々退下する。右の神形は常は小局にあり、当日矢刀祢が社頭に来てこれを請け取り、翌日社頭に返して了る》

Procedure for the Mikado-shiro-e Sacred Ritual《June 29th, Last Day of Month, July 1st》 June 29th Mikado-shiro-e Procedure First, on the previous day, construct a Noh theater stage northwest of the sacred horse stable, using the area behind the sacred horse stable and the bathhouse as dressing rooms. 《For this ceremony, on June 29th (or 28th in a short month), at the hour of the Dragon (7-9 AM), have the six functionaries order carpenters to build it. Now it is built by the repair department. Accordingly, have the six functionaries build temporary shelters for seating and the bridgeway pine trees, then finish and withdraw. At the hour of the Snake (9-11 AM), they proceed further to the viewing areas around the north of the sacred horse stable and in front of the second torii gate, etc.》 《Have Gorotaro and laborers divide the work, drive in desk stakes, stretch ropes, and finish preparing the viewing areas. For the small divisions, young officials with jutte batons manage this as during horse racing》 On the evening of the same day, Noh performers come to the residences of the head priest, chief negi priest, and senior elder for a sake-offering ceremony《Previously at the deputy master's residence there was a sake-offering ceremony, and when finished, the deputy master wore formal court dress to serve as guide, while the Noh performers wore plain jackets》 Tonight for the inner banquet of the Mikado-shiro-e, there are three Noh performances in front of the second torii gate《They perform facing south, particularly facing toward Matsuo direction》 First, they carry the divine form of Sarutahiko deity and bear flutes, large drums, etc., beating time as they proceed to the front of the second torii gate《These are four companions of the Noh performers who converse together. Three wear plain jackets and carry flutes, large drums, small drums, etc. One wears hemp formal dress and goes from Seishinji temple via the first torii gate, sake hall bridge, etc. to the area west of the sacred horse stable fence. At that time, the yatone priest brings the divine form and gives it to those wearing formal dress, so they receive it, beat time, and proceed first along the main route to the front of the second torii gate, face north, clap hands briefly and pause (commonly called "entering the dressing room"). At that time the yatone priest comes and receives back the divine form, then each withdraws. This divine form is normally kept in the small office. On the day in question, the yatone priest comes to the shrine precincts to receive it and returns it to the shrine precincts the following day》
