先参于社頭贄殿等如例事具之後所司候侍所東間閫内窺
現代語訳
事が終わると猿楽師は御所屋に集まる《御所屋を楽屋とする》ただし雨の場合は御所屋の南方を舞台とし北方を楽屋とする
次に社務代・別当が参向する《神人二人が松明を執って社務代別当の亭に来る。その時社務代は衣冠、別当は浄衣で参向する》
酒殿橋を経て一の鳥居に入り西切芝の幄屋に着く《西に社務代、東に別当。雨の場合は御所屋に着く、その儀は同前。右の幄は正大工が建て、晦日もまた兼用する》
この間に矢刀祢が柱松を持って来て二の鳥居の前で焼いて了る《ただし囃子方が参進する時節に焼いて了る。右の柱松は高さ三尺、幅一尺、柱竹三本を板で囲い、細縄で編み付ける。以上二箇を調進し、一箇は卯鑰社の料として神主に送る。もっとも竹二本、縄二把は社中より出す。板は長さ二尺二寸計りの時は四十枚、短い時は八十枚。右は桧皮師十兵衛より調進する。右の柱松については小原子が調進し矢刀祢に渡す。もっとも上古は御戸代会に限らず夜神事並びに御幸・行幸等の節はところどころに柱松を立てたが、その儀は近代には絶えて御戸代会のみとなった。右の儀は遺風とはいえもっとも古体とは異なる。ただし今用いる形は窪手の如くその中に松葉を少し計り入れ、右の葉計りを焼く》
松行事は左右に炬篝火、神人がその傍に候して警固する《ただし右の外、評議所の中元二人が二の鳥居東方柱下に候して警固する》
次に猿楽事始めの事が終わると各々退出する

《辰の刻》朝夕の御料を当番社司が備える《ただし夕の御料は庁屋で祠官以下が直会するので、当番の祠官は直会がない。朝の御料については直会は常の如し》
同日
猿楽五番がある。六役の輩《ただし執筆は参らず》、別当《各々上下を着る》が仮幄に着いてこれを奉行する。神人《黄衣を着る》、五郎太郎以下人夫等が警固する。
同夜名越祓次第
刻限《酉の刻》社司《衣冠を着て従者一人を召し具す》が侍所に参集する《もっとも神人の案内三度は毎例の如し》
ただし貴船両官は当宮に従わず先に木船に参向する
転供五人、精進頭五人、陰陽預、別当、所司、目代《衣体は毎神事の如し》等以下諸役人
まず社頭・贄殿等に参じて例の如く事を具えた後、所司が侍所東間の閾内に候して窺う
英語訳
When the matter is finished, the Noh performers gather at the Gosho-ya (Imperial Pavilion) 《Using the Gosho-ya as a dressing room》. However, in case of rain, use the south side of the Gosho-ya as the stage and the north side as the dressing room.
Next, the shamusdai (shrine affairs deputy) and betto (deputy administrator) proceed 《Two shrine servants carrying torches come to the residence of the shamusdai and betto. At this time, the shamusdai wears court dress (ikan) and the betto wears purification robes (jōe) as they proceed》
They cross the sake hall bridge, enter through the first torii gate, and arrive at the curtained pavilion at Nishi-kiri-shiba 《The shamusdai to the west, the betto to the east. In case of rain, they go to the Gosho-ya, the procedure being the same as before. This curtained pavilion is built by the head carpenter and is also used on the last day of the month》
During this time, the yatone priest brings hashiratsu-matsu (pillar pine torches) and burns them in front of the second torii gate 《However, they are burned when the musical accompanists proceed. The hashiratsu-matsu are three feet high and one foot wide, made of three bamboo pillars surrounded by boards and bound with thin rope. Two are prepared and offered, and one is sent to the head priest for Urui-yaku shrine. The two bamboo poles and two bundles of rope are provided by the shrine. For boards, when long they are about 2.2 shaku and number forty pieces, when short they number eighty pieces. These are provided by the hinoki bark craftsman Jūbei. For the hashiratsu-matsu, Oharashi prepares and delivers them to the yatone priest. In ancient times, not limited to the Mikado-shiro-e, pillar pine torches were erected in various places during night rituals, imperial visits, and imperial progresses, but this practice has ceased in recent times except for the Mikado-shiro-e. Though this ceremony is a surviving tradition, it differs greatly from the ancient form. The form used now is like a kubote (hollow container), with a small amount of pine needles placed inside, and only these needles are burned》
For the pine ceremony, torch brazier fires are placed left and right, with shrine servants standing nearby for security 《In addition, two chūgen from the council office stand guard under the pillar on the east side of the second torii gate》
Next, when the Noh beginning ceremony is finished, everyone withdraws.
Last Day of the Month
《Hour of the Dragon》The daily morning and evening sacred offerings are prepared by the duty shrine officials 《However, for the evening offering, since the shrine priests and below hold a direct feast (naorai) at the office building, the duty shrine priest does not have a direct feast. For the morning offering, the direct feast is as usual》
Same Day
There are five Noh performances. The six functionaries 《However, the scribe does not attend》and the betto 《Each wearing formal dress》 take their places in the temporary pavilion to oversee this. Shrine servants 《wearing yellow robes》, Gorōtarō and other laborers provide security.
Same Night - Nagoshi Purification Procedure
Time limit 《Hour of the Rooster》Shrine officials 《wearing court dress and accompanied by one attendant》 assemble at the attendants' quarters 《The three-time guidance by shrine servants is as in every precedent》
However, the two Kifune officials do not follow this shrine but proceed first to the wooden boat.
Five rotating offerings bearers, five purification leaders, the yin-yang diviner, betto, administrative officer, deputy administrator 《their attire as in every ritual》 and other various functionaries below
First proceed to the shrine precincts, offering hall, etc., and after completing matters as usual, the administrative officer waits within the threshold of the east room of the attendants' quarters and observes.
