（祢宜が）先となる。この間、目代大夫は松明を止める。次に預大夫が片岡に土祭了の由を告げる。次に五官の祝詞（正権ともに）、拍手（衆これに応ず）了えて、目代は再び松明を執る（初めの如く）。社務代は小社に参向して御掃除を勤める。その箇所は四月の如し。次に権祝が権殿に参昇して御戸を閉じる。この時各々平伏す。次に預大夫が御鎖褁を進める（この序で御鍵を預大夫に渡す）。次に御鎖を褁み了えて祝方に復す。次に正権祢宜等が小庭を越えて祝方に候す。この間、目代大夫が小庭に進んで松明を執る（初めの如く）。次に正祝が大床に参昇する（猶予）。次に神主が階下に進んで警屈し、祝方に候す（例の所）。次に正祝が御戸を閉じ、各々平伏す。この時、預大夫が御鎖褁を進める（常の如く。この序で御鍵を預大夫に渡す）。祝がこれを執り、御鎖を褁み了えて、階上階下で一拝の後、各々祝方より相い退いて大廻り了えて退下する。
相嘗会前の御禊の早朝、御灯籠紙を社頭へ遣わすべき事。
御禊御神事の内に、御紙燭ばかりは下に座しながらこれを転ず。また御掃除了の後に榊・日蔭草を進める。権殿もまた同じ（榊・日蔭草を進める事は朝廷より御沙汰了の時ばかりなり）。某社もまた同じ（御箒参る時、榊・日蔭草も一緒に参るべし心得）。

During the purification sacred ritual, only the sacred paper candles are rotated while remaining seated below. Also, after the sacred cleaning is completed, sacred sakaki branches and day-shade grass are offered. The same applies to the deputy shrine (offering sakaki branches and day-shade grass occurs only when there are imperial instructions from the court). The same applies to certain shrines (when sacred brooms are offered, understand that sakaki branches and day-shade grass should also be offered together).
