The two Takifune officials, after finishing the ritual prayers, withdraw from before the deity, proceed to the shrine grounds, perform blessings for the usue staffs, then complete their small circuit and return to their lodgings. They change their purification robes and proceed to Kifune shrine. In this sequence, they have subordinates carry the sacred box to the shrine grounds, request and receive two pairs of usue staffs from the deputy, and proceed as is customary. The deputy shrine administrator withdraws to the direct meeting place at the shrine grounds, and after the ritual prayers are finished, prepares them at the small shrine as is customary. The ritual procedure: first the two officials, offering bearers, etc. arrive at the worship hall. Next, the ritual assistant rises from his seat, ascends to the great platform and opens the sacred door {{Note: at that time they move from their seats and prostrate}} Next, the negi rises from his seat and advances to the earthen platform (or stands in line?). At the bottom and top of the stairs, he makes one bow, enters the inner sanctuary and makes one bow. Next, the offering bearer advances. Next, they roll up the sacred curtain. Next, they present the usue {{Note: place the pair in the sacred chest}}. The two officials prepare them on top of the sacred stand {{Note: the manner of preparation: point the heads of the usue toward the deity, point the bases toward ourselves. However, facing each other in the shape of the character "eight"}} {{Note: do they prepare them like this?}}. Next, they lower the sacred curtain. Next, the two officials exit the inner sanctuary, return to their seats, recite ritual prayers and finish. The two officials advance to the inner sanctuary and store the usue staffs in the left and right scenic object boxes. Next, they roll up the sacred curtain and remove the sacred chest {{Note: the offering bearer takes it and passes it to the sword bearer}}. Next, they lower the sacred curtain, and the negi exits the inner sanctuary and returns to his seat. Next, the ritual assistant exits the inner sanctuary and closes the sacred door {{Note: at that time they move from their seats and prostrate}}. Next, they present the sacred lock wrapping, the ritual assistant finishes wrapping the sacred lock, each makes one bow and withdraws. Today there is no formal seating, and they descend directly. However, the shrine official of Nara Sawada allocates one usue staff, has subordinates request and receive it from the shrine grounds, performs blessings for it at the worship hall and withdraws. Also, since the shrine official of Ota clan deity is in a distant location, he either relies on other shrine officials, or has subordinates request and receive it afterward. The shrine officials of Kataoka, Shingu, and Wakamiya shrines, together with Gomiya, at the ritual assistant crossing hall perform blessings for it. However, this varies depending on the time. At that time, the deputy shrine administrator prepares usue at the small shrine. That location is seen in the New Year's Day section below. The two Takifune officials withdraw, change their purification robes, proceed to Takifune, and present usue in the same manner as the seven shrines. The assistant negi, ritual assistant, head negi, etc. take their places at the ritual prayer seats {{Note: the procedure is the same as New Year's Day}}. Next, the head priest and ritual assistant exit the inner sanctuary and take their places at the ritual prayer seats {{Note: the procedure is the same as New Year's Day}}. Next, the five officials make two bows. Next, the deputy administrator announces the completion of the earth ritual {{Note: the procedure is as usual}}. Next, they finish reciting ritual prayers and clap hands {{Note: the assembly responds}}. They make two bows. Next, from the assistant ritual assistant to the head negi, they wait at the ritual assistant side {{Note: the procedure goes from the ritual prayer building through the small courtyard to arrive at the eastern crossing hall}}. Next, the head ritual assistant advances to the earthen platform {{Note: from outside the viewing space}}. He makes one bow, ascends to the great platform and makes one bow {{Note: with deliberation}}. Next, the head priest advances to the earthen platform {{Note: from inside the viewing space}}. He makes one bow and waits.
