有之当町蔵松屋拠りゟ江戸表後藤え悴遣置
候に付右之手筋にて新古金銀引替候得ば【原文は「者」】
拾両に付壱分程之利潤有之候由に付古銀
七両八百八飯田表え木地之仕切罷越候節
相頼差遣申候処八百八罷帰候上に而元金

其分未私方へは請取不申候尤八百八儀は
色々商売仕候に付差引勘定等も御座候に

現代語訳
ございまして、当町の蔵松屋より江戸表の後藤へ息子を遣わしておりますので、右の手筋にて新古金銀を引き替えれば十両につき一分程の利潤があるとのことで、古銀七両を八百八が飯田表へ木地の仕切りに行く際に頼んで差し遣わしました。八百八が帰ってきた上で元金七両を受け取り、二朱の利潤があるとのことでしたが、その分はまだ私の方へは受け取っておりません。もっとも八百八は色々と商売をしておりますので、差し引き勘定等もございますので、そのままにしております。もっとも受け取りました金子は悪金ではございません。右金子にて御不審等がかかる件がございましたら、私に右の御咎めをお仰せ付けいただき、八百八の件は御咎めの筋を御慈悲いただきたくお願い申し上げます。わずかな利潤に迷い、不束な事をいたし申し訳ございません。恐れ入ります。以上、八百八への御慈悲の筋をひとえにお願い申し上げます。

There was such [a conversation], and since we have sent a son from Kuramatsuya in our town to Goto in Edo, if we exchange new and old gold and silver through that connection, there would be a profit of about one bu per ten ryo. So when Happyaku-hachi went to Iida for wood business settlement, I entrusted him with seven ryo of old silver. After Happyaku-hachi returned, I received the original seven ryo, and although there was supposed to be a profit of two shu, I have not yet received that portion. Since Happyaku-hachi conducts various types of business, there are offsetting accounts between us, so I have left it as is. The money I received was certainly not counterfeit. If there are any suspicions regarding this money, please direct any blame toward me and show mercy regarding Happyaku-hachi's case. I was led astray by a small profit and committed an improper act for which I have no excuse. I deeply apologize. I earnestly request merciful treatment for Happyaku-hachi.
What I have stated above is entirely accurate without any discrepancy.
