罷登四年罷在右之節年々金
子拾両ツヽ竟宴料金等被下置

免許状得相伝罷下候事
一 正徳三巳年七月親病気ニ付
御社用御祭礼御用社家支配共相

一 同四午年六月亡父跡式御知行ニ
百石無御相違被下置見祢山社

一 同五未年三月江戸表江為学問罷登
逗留中外様士勤番並之扶持方
被下置同年秋罷下候
但此後江戸表江為学問度々罷
登逗留中毎度右之通被下置外ニ
三両ツヽ毎度費料被下置候

御社之儀余社と違ひたる訳を
以奉行中直支配被 仰付候事
現代語訳
罷り登り四年罷り在り、右の節年々金子十両ずつ竟宴料金等を下し置かれ、吉川源十郎殿より相伝切紙講談免許状を得て相伝し罷り下った事
一 正徳三巳年七月、親の病気につき御社用・御祭礼御用・社家支配を共に相勤めるよう仰せ付けられた事
一 同四午年六月、亡父の跡式御知行に百石相違なく下し置かれ、見祢山社司を仰せ付けられた事
一 同五未年三月、江戸表へ学問のため罷り登り、逗留中は外様士勤番並みの扶持方を下し置かれ、同年秋に罷り下った
但し、この後江戸表へ学問のため度々罷り登り、逗留中は毎度右の通り下し置かれ、外に三両ずつ毎度費用料を下し置かれた事
一 享保二酉年六月十九日、見祢山御社の儀は余社と違いたる訳を以って奉行中直支配を仰せ付けられた事
英語訳
He went up and remained for four years. During this time, he was annually granted ten ryō in gold for banquet expenses and other costs. He received a certificate of transmission (menkyojō) for lecture instruction from Lord Yoshikawa Genjūrō and returned after completing his studies.
一 In the 7th month of Shōtoku 3, Year of the Snake (1713), due to his father's illness, he was ordered to serve in shrine affairs, festival duties, and supervision of shrine families.
一 In the 6th month of Shōtoku 4, Year of the Horse (1714), he was granted his deceased father's hereditary stipend of 100 koku without change and was appointed as the head priest of Mineyama Shrine.
一 In the 3rd month of Shōtoku 5, Year of the Sheep (1715), he went up to Edo for academic study. During his stay, he was granted a stipend equivalent to that of outer daimyo retainers on rotating duty, and returned in the autumn of the same year.
Note: After this, he repeatedly went up to Edo for study. During each stay, he was granted the same allowance as mentioned above, plus an additional three ryō each time for expenses.
一 On the 19th day of the 6th month of Kyōhō 2, Year of the Rooster (1717), regarding Mineyama Shrine, because it differed from other shrines, it was placed under the direct supervision of the magistrates.
