罷在候由之処宜差配致為召捕其上

り同心たちと一同で越国へ出向いた際、松尾一睡と名乗る士中の浪人体で帯刀している者がいるとのことであったが、適切に指揮して召し捕り、その上で他国で売り散らされた盗品を取り戻すことについて、先方へ交渉した際、他国のことであるため困難な事情があったが、引き下がらずに厚く申し談じ、残らず無償で取り戻した件について、ともに適切に取り計らったため、御褒美として金2両2分を下し置かれた事
一 同5年丑年3月、一代限りで会所次番格に成し下され、廻り同心支配役を仰せ付けられた事
一 同年10月、廻り方を止められたため、持格で御旗与力を仰せ付けられた事
一 同6年寅年12月、御貸役所の金銭受払勤めを当座御雇いとして仰せ付けられた事
一 同7年卯年4月、御貸金役の金銭受払役人を当座仮役として仰せ付けられた事
一 同年12月、御貸金方の金銭受払役人を定仮役として仰せ付けられ、一代限りの年割として成し下し置かれた事

When the patrol officers went together to Echigo province, there was a masterless samurai calling himself Matsuo Issui who was dressed as a warrior and wearing swords. [The subject] properly commanded the situation and captured him, and furthermore, regarding the recovery of stolen goods that had been sold off in other domains, when negotiating with the other parties, there were difficulties since it involved other domains, but without backing down, he earnestly negotiated and recovered everything without payment. For handling both matters appropriately, he was awarded 2 ryō and 2 bu of gold as a reward.
