現代語訳
一、同日、御用番大久保加賀守（忠増）殿からお呼び出しがあり、御留守居村上三大夫（正峯）が出向いたところ、御病気お見舞いの御奉書を宿継証文を添えてお渡しいただいた。
右の御奉書を御先物頭簗田太郎大夫（為長）が持参し、伝馬町問屋まで派遣した。
一、五月朔日、御用番大久保加賀守（忠増）殿からお呼び出しがあり、御留守居大関新五左衛門（直看）が出向いたところ、お願いの通り御医師河野松庵老をお国許へ派遣する旨を仰せ付けられた段をお聞かせいただいた。
一、同日、御使番八田金右衛門（栄次）は京都の医師伊藤玄寿を同道し、昨二十九日夕刻に福井へ到着した。玄寿は即刻御泉水御屋敷へ出向き、御脈を拝見した。
今朝再び拝見した上で、玄寿の薬を御服用された。
一、同月二日
吉邦様が福井へ御着になり、毛矢通から御本丸へお入りになり、その後御泉水御屋敷へお出になって御対顔された。
一、同月四日、御病気お見舞いの御奉書を板取駅から持参したとのことで、郡奉行周防猪左衛門（佐賢）が朝四時に御座所へ出向いて差し出した。御奏者番が御泉水御屋敷へ出向き、御奉書を指し上げて御覧になった。
「その方病気の段、高聞に及び候ところ、油断なく養生仕るべき旨、上意候。これにより如此候。恐々謹言」

1. On the same day, there was a summons from the duty official Okubo Kaga-no-kami (Tadamasu), and when the caretaker Murakami Sandayu (Masamine) went out to meet him, he was given an official letter of inquiry about the illness along with relay station certificates.
The aforementioned official letter was carried by the senior ashigaru commander Yanada Tarodayu (Tamenaqa) and sent to the horse relay station manager in Denmacho.
1. On the first day of the fifth month, there was a summons from the duty official Okubo Kaga-no-kami (Tadamasu), and when the caretaker Oseki Shinqozaemon (Naotaka) went out to meet him, he was informed that as requested, the court physician Kono Matsuan would be sent to the domain.
1. On the same day, the messenger Hatta Kinemon (Eiji) arrived in Fukui on the evening of the 29th, accompanied by the Kyoto physician Ito Genju. Genju immediately went to the Sensui residence to examine the pulse.

Lord Yoshikuni arrived in Fukui, entered the main castle via Keya-dori, and then went to the Sensui residence for a meeting.

On the fourth day of the same month, an official letter of inquiry about the illness was brought from Itatomi station, so the district magistrate Suo Inozaemon (Sadayoshi) went to the lord's quarters at four in the morning to present it. The master of ceremonies went to the Sensui residence and presented the official letter for viewing.
