一、五月六日
吉邦様の御帰国につき、吉品様から御礼のため国許から派遣される趣で、御使者松原一学が御用番井上河内守正岑殿のもとに出向き、御書（四月二十一日付）を提出した。
一、同月十三日、御医師河野松庵老人が去る二日に江戸を出立し（道中、御側物頭溝口市左衛門が付き添った）、今日福井に到着した（旅宿は一乗町）。直ちに御泉水御屋敷に向かい、御書院において吉邦様との御面会があった。
吉品様が御寝間から御出座になり（御羽織をお召しになり、御上下は御側に置かれた）、御長椅子が出された後で御診察があった。診察が済むと御寝間で御料理が出され、今日から松庵老人の薬を御服用になった。
ただし、この後御寝間で御診察がある度に、吉邦様が御越しになり御寝間まで御同道された。
一、同日、右同様につき御礼のため御使者御先物頭柘植伊右衛門（景林）を江戸表へ派遣し、今日福井を出立した。
ただし、伊右衛門は同月二十二日に江戸に到着し、翌二十三日に御用番へ御書を提出した。
一、同月十七日、御医師河野松庵老人から御馳走付大谷助六（重照）・大野三左衛門（正矩）を通じて、「御容体が御大病と存じますので、薬を差し上げることが困難です。江戸表へお返しください」旨が御家老本多四郎右衛門（恒久）まで伝えられたため、その件について

Regarding Lord Yoshikuni's return to the domain, as an expression of gratitude from Lord Yoshishina to be sent from the domain, messenger Matsubara Ichigaku went to duty official Inoue Kawachi-no-kami Masamine and submitted an official letter (dated April 21st).
1. On the 13th of the same month, court physician Kono Shoan (elderly) departed from Edo on the 2nd (accompanied by chief retainer Mizoguchi Ichizaemon during the journey) and arrived in Fukui today (lodging at Ichijo-machi). He immediately proceeded to the Sensui residence, where he had an audience with Lord Yoshikuni in the reception hall.
Lord Yoshishina came out from his sleeping quarters (wearing a haori jacket, with formal dress placed at his side), and after a long chair was brought out, a medical examination took place. After the examination was completed, a meal was served in the sleeping quarters, and from today Lord Yoshishina began taking the elderly Shoan's medicine.
However, from this point forward, whenever there was a medical examination in the sleeping quarters, Lord Yoshikuni would come and accompany him to the sleeping quarters.
1. On the same day, for the same matter as mentioned above, messenger and senior ashigaru commander Tsuge Iemon (Keirin) was sent to Edo as an expression of gratitude, departing from Fukui today.
However, Iemon arrived in Edo on the 22nd of the same month and submitted the official letter to the duty official on the following 23rd.

On the 17th of the same month, court physician Kono Shoan (elderly) conveyed through attendants Otani Sukeroku (Shigeteru) and Ono Sanzaemon (Masanori) to chief retainer Honda Shiroemon (Tsunehisa) that "His lordship's condition appears to be a serious illness, making it difficult to administer medicine, so please have him returned to Edo." Regarding this matter
