吉邦様がお聞きになったところ、強く引き止めをなされたため、松庵は滞留することになり、そのまま薬を差し上げることになった。
ただし、十九日までに薬を一回り服用したところ、相応の効果があった様子なので、なお一層お留めになりたい旨の願書を江戸表へ提出した。
一、五月二十五日、右同様につき御使者蟹江十大夫を国許へ派遣する趣で、御老中のもとに出向き、河野松庵老人をお留めになりたい旨の願書を提出した。
ただし、右の御使者は国許から派遣すべきところ、届け出までで良いと松庵老人が申したため、御飛脚を出したところ、中務大輔昌平様・志摩守直丘様の御相談で、使者を派遣するのが然るべき旨の御指図があったため、江戸表において改めて認めて提出した。
一、同月二十六日、御老中井上河内守正峯殿からお呼び出しがあり、御使者蟹江十大夫が出向いたところ、河野松庵老人をお引き止めの件、願いの通り仰せ出された旨の御奉書をお渡しいただき、その際松庵老人への御奉書も一緒にお渡しいただいた。
ただし、これについて大御番堀権左衛門宗良を通じて国表へ送り上げ、同月晦日に福井に到着した。
一、六月二日、暑中につき御機嫌をお伺いするため、御使者渥美権兵衛を江戸表へ派遣し、今日福井を出立した（御書の日付は六日）。
ただし、同月十九日に御老中へ御書を提出した。

1. On May 25th, for the same matter as mentioned above, messenger Kanie Judayu was to be sent from the domain, and he went to the Senior Councilors to submit a petition requesting to retain the elderly Kono Shoan.
However, while this messenger should have been sent from the domain, since the elderly Shoan said that a notification would suffice, when an express messenger was sent, Nakatsukasa-daifu Masahira and Shima-no-kami Naotaka consulted and instructed that sending a messenger would be appropriate, so it was rewritten and submitted at Edo.
1. On the 26th of the same month, there was a summons from Senior Councilor Inoue Kawachi-no-kami Masamine, and when messenger Kanie Judayu appeared, he was given an official letter stating that the matter of retaining the elderly Kono Shoan had been approved as requested, and at that time an official letter for the elderly Shoan was also handed over together.
However, regarding this matter, it was sent up to the domain through O-oban Hori Gonzaemon Munenaga, arriving in Fukui on the last day of the same month.
1. On June 2nd, due to the summer heat, to inquire about his lordship's well-being, messenger Atsumi Gonbei was sent to Edo, departing from Fukui today (the official letter dated the 6th).
However, on the 19th of the same month, the official letter was submitted to the Senior Councilors.
