当四日京都出火、午の刻より夜五つ時まで、五条より上中下朱子屋町・東本願寺焼け、枳殻殿辺りまで焼ける。
二十四日 宵より雨降り、四つ時位より雨止み、九つ時
《割書：七十七度、九つ時七十四度》より霧雨降り、冷気北模様、終日小雨。
《割書：冷気にて袷着用なり》夜中も同様。
昨十八日御城付横山甚左衛門より申し上げた俘虜の情報は左の通り：
一、十三日 黒船一艘 下田着
一、十五日 一艘 下田着
一、十七日 一艘 神奈川着
彼が言うには、十三日十四日に参った船のうち一艘、今日中に神奈川へ参る筈。後より、オロシア（ロシア）、イギリス、フランス、トルコ等の早船三十五六艘、四十艘程も追々参る筈。この度清国を打ち破り、勝ちに乗じて来たりと言う。
右の注進は一昨十七日夕、営中へあり。直ちに御勘定奉行永井玄蕃頭、御目付岩瀬肥後守、浦賀奉行酒井右近、下田奉行井上信濃守等、営中より出立。

According to him, of the ships that came on the 13th and 14th, one ship is scheduled to go to Kanagawa today. Following them, fast ships from Russia, England, France, Turkey, etc., about 35-36 to 40 vessels in total, are expected to arrive successively. It is said they come riding on their victory after defeating Qing China.
This report reached the military headquarters on the evening of the 17th, the day before yesterday.
