有之其上兼々申上候通更級郡山平林村地内之高山

沈没居此上五七日も水湛増候ハヽ抜崩押埋之場所
水乗可申哉之旨追々注進申出候其外土尻川と申ハ
犀川ゟ小川ニ御座候へ共是又川上抜崩流水〆

追々減水仕候尤元来犀川と落合候水筋ニ御座候処

ありました。その上、かねがね申し上げております通り、更級郡山平林村地内の高山が崩落し、麓の村々は岩石と一緒に犀川筋へ数十町の間押し埋まり、流水が堰き止められて日々水かさが増し、およそ十七八丈も溜まり、水上は六七里の間、潮水のような形勢になりました。これにより川沿いの村々は数か村が倒壊或いは焼失の上、数丈の水底へ沈没しております。この上五七日も水が溜まり増すようであれば、崩落して押し埋まった場所に水が乗るのではないかという旨、追々注進が申し出られております。その外、土尻川と申すのは犀川からの小川でございますが、これもまた川上で崩落し流水が締め切られ、去る十日まで溜水になっておりましたところ、同日昼過ぎに崩れ埋まった場所が押し切れ、一丈余りの大水が俄かに押し出してきました。これは暮れに及んで追々減水いたしました。もっとも、元来犀川と落ち合う水筋でございましたところ、地震以来干上がった川筋へ流れ落ちた故でしょうか、川丈の流水で破損所はございましたが、まずは格段の被害地もございませんでした。然るところ、前に申し上げました犀川上手数十日の溜水が一時に押し出す節は、川中島はもちろん下に続く御料所の村々がいかような災変があるか計り難く、殊に犀川口小市村渡船場北字真神山、これもまた犀川中へ崩落し川幅を多分に押し埋めておりますので、この節溜まっております犀水が一時に押し出し、真神山の押し崩れた場所へ突き掛かるようなことがあれば、なおさらいかような異変も生じるか計り難く、右の場所の差し向き時の手当て、精々普請は申し付けましたが
