私の領分である信州更級郡鹿谷村並びに日名村分地と松平丹波守領分の境にある高地川という山沢で、当年三月二十四日夜の大地震後、度々強く震動があり、追々山が崩落し、右の沢山に水が溜まっている所で、現在の水面より高さ五間程、敷地五十間余りを押し埋めました。右の川下四町程隔てた日名村の内祖室組分地の字伝行山並びに沢向いの西山手にある丹波守領分の左六村分地でも一同に崩落し、右の沢を敷地二町程、高さ六間程押し埋めたため、掘割り方を申し付けたいのですが、山奥の険しい道路が数箇所で崩落し、やっと一歩通りで通行できる次第で、殊に巌石を掘り埋める儀であり、行き届きません。右の押し埋めた場所が破壊して一時に押し出した際は、犀川へ流出し

In my territory of Shikaya Village in Sarashina County, Shinano Province, and the divided land of Hinana Village, at a mountain valley called Takachigawa on the border with Matsudaira Tamba-no-kami's territory, after the great earthquake on the night of March 24th of this year, there have been frequent strong tremors, and mountains have gradually collapsed and slid. Water has accumulated in that mountain valley, and it has buried and blocked an area of over fifty ken in width and about five ken in height above the current water level. About four cho downstream, at the divided land of Soshitsu-gumi in Hinana Village, at a place called Denkoyama, and at the divided land of Saroku Village in Tamba-no-kami's territory on the western mountainside across the valley, similar collapses occurred simultaneously, burying and blocking that valley for about two cho in width and about six ken in height. Therefore, I wish to order excavation work, but the mountain roads are treacherous, with collapses in several locations, barely allowing single-file passage. Moreover, it involves digging and burying massive rocks, making proper execution impossible. Should the blocked area break and surge out all at once, it would flow into the Sai River
