ニ而ハ難押切様子ニ相聞候処去十三日夕存外一時ニ押破り
巌石一同数十丈之水押出シ流末川中島平一円
致充満人家ハ猶更田畑共押流或ハ押堀或ハ河原ニ
相成其外近辺村々并下続川添村方流失又ハ
泥水押入候も夥敷且又数十日水中ニ相成居山中
村々之儀も水ハ引候得共居家田畑共不残押流其上
川辺通欠崩之場所数丁在之重々之災害ニ而
親族ヲ失居家家財耕作諸道具剰田畑迄も
致亡失悲歎途方ニ暮罷在領民共幾千万共
難申差向夫食ニ差支住居ニ迷ひ農業之心得
等ハ毛頭無之為躰ニ付所々え致手分役人共差出炊出又ハ
小屋掛等之手当申付飢餲并雨露之凌専為取
計候へ共右ハ全時々救方而已之儀ニ而此上仮成ニも居家
取繕ひ耕作諸道具等取整田畑開発道路普請
等為致候ニは不容易儀乍去暫時も難捨置何様ニも
早速取復方手段可仕儀ニ候得共領内一躰之儀ニ而容易ニ
行届兼殊ニ追々田方仕付専之時節ニ候へ共右之次第ニ而
中々耕作ニ取掛候始末ニ至兼候へ共収納は勿論銘々
夫食之目当無之自然と人気ニ拘り候間如何様之心得

川辺通りには欠け崩れた場所が数丁あり、重々の災害により
親族を失い、住居・家財・耕作諸道具、さらには田畑まで
失い、悲嘆に暮れて途方に暮れている領民共は、幾千万とも
申し難く、差し向き食事に差し支え、住居に迷い、農業の心得
等は毛頭ない有様につき、所々へ手分けして役人共を差し出し、炊き出し又は
小屋掛け等の手当てを申し付け、飢えと雨露を凌ぐことを専ら取り
計らっておりますが、右は全く一時的な救済方法のみの儀であり、この上仮にでも住居を
取り繕い、耕作諸道具等を取り整え、田畑開発・道路普請
等を行うには容易でない儀ながら、暫時も捨て置くことは困難で、何様にも
早速復旧方法の手段を講じるべき儀でございますが、領内一体の儀であり容易に
行き届きかね、殊に追々田方の仕付けが専らの時節でございますが、右の次第により
なかなか耕作に取り掛かる始末に至りかねますが、収納は勿論、銘々の
食事の目当てもなく、自然と人心に関わる間、如何様な心得
違いや異変等が生じるかも計り難く、あれこれと深く心を痛めております。この上、精々救済方法並びに

requires considerable effort. Nevertheless, we cannot leave things unattended even for a moment, and must
immediately devise recovery measures. However, since this affects the entire domain, it is difficult to
address adequately. Particularly, this is the crucial season for rice planting, but given these circumstances,
it is quite impossible to begin farming operations. Not only will there be no harvest, but each individual
