一 本日、御白書院御座席奉行の板倉甲斐守が病気のため、
自分が代理を務めるよう大草主膳から書付で申し伝えられた
一 御能の脇能が終了した頃、間部下総と相談して御板縁を立ち、
中之間に参り御台所を頂戴した
一 御能の三番目が終了し、同席者一同が御板縁を立ち、用足しを
済ませて寄り合った頃、大広間北御縁の蝦蟇仙人の御杉戸を後ろに
して、下総と自分が着座して控えていたところ、公家衆が殿上之間に
退出されてから、堀大和にも声をかけ、三人で相談して御廊下の桜之
間に向かい、御障子を後ろにして御床に向かい、鴨の
御杉戸から二畳目の位置で三人が格式順に着座した

1. Today, as Itakura Kai-no-kami, the Magistrate of White Study Hall Seating Arrangements, was ill, I was instructed through a written notice from Ōkusa Shuzen to serve in his place.
1. When the side performance of the Noh was finished, I consulted with Manabe Shimōsa, we stood on the wooden veranda and went to the middle room where we received refreshments from the kitchen.
1. When the third act of the Noh was completed, all those present stood on the wooden veranda, and after attending to necessities and gathering together, we positioned ourselves with the Gama Sennin sliding doors of the north veranda of the great hall behind us. Shimōsa and I took our seats and waited. After the court nobles withdrew to the Tenjō-no-ma, we also called upon Hori Yamato, and the three of us consulted and proceeded to the Sakura-no-ma in the corridor. We positioned ourselves with the sliding doors behind us, facing the alcove, and seated ourselves in order of rank from the second tatami mat from the duck sliding doors.
