弐枚被下置候旨以御書付被仰渡拝領仕、同十
亥年六月十六日山路弥左衛門手附暦作測量
御用出役被 仰付勤候内、御扶持方三人
扶持被下置候旨御書付を以被仰渡、当丑年迄
御奉公拾弐ケ年相勤候内、出役三ケ年相勤申候
右之通御座候、一躰取締方宜御奉公実躰相勤
差働も有之、御用ニも相立可申者ニ奉存候、此度
西丸表火之番明キ有之趣及承申候、可相成儀

右の登一郎について、文政十三年寅年十月に御抱え入れを仰せ付けられ、天保八年酉年九月十六日、松栄院様の御住居が急火により、御立退きの際、早速駆け付け御先払い等に格別に骨折って働いたため、その御褒美として同年十二月十日に白銀二枚を下され、御書付をもって仰せ渡され拝領いたしました。同十年亥年六月十六日、山路弥左衛門手附暦作測量御用出役を仰せ付けられ勤めている間、御扶持方三人扶持を下されるとの御書付をもって仰せ渡され、当丑年まで御奉公十二年間勤めた内、出役三年間勤めました。
右の通りでございます。一体に取締方も良く、御奉公を実体よく勤め、差し働きもあり、御用にも役立つ者と存じます。この度西丸表火之番に空きがある趣を承りました。可能でございましたら、何卒右の明跡へ仰せ付けて下さるよう願い奉ります。私が当御役を仰せ付けられてから未だ間もございませんが、先役の美濃部八蔵より度々願い出ていた旨の申し送りもございますので申し上げます。もっとも山路弥左衛門よりも願い出ている由でございます。右の段は御用番松平玄蕃頭殿へも申し上げ置きましたので、この段願い奉ります。以上

Regarding the above-mentioned Toichirō: He was taken into service in the 10th month of Bunsei 13 (1830), year of the Tiger. On the 16th day of the 9th month of Tenpō 8 (1837), year of the Rooster, when there was a sudden fire at the residence of Lady Shōei-in and she had to evacuate, he quickly rushed to the scene and worked exceptionally hard in clearing the way ahead of her. As a reward for this service, on the 10th day of the 12th month of the same year, he was granted two pieces of silver through an official document. On the 16th day of the 6th month of Tenpō 10 (1839), year of the Boar, he was appointed as assistant to Yamaji Yazaemon for special duties in calendar making and surveying. While serving in this capacity, he was granted an allowance for 3 people through an official document. Up to this current year of the Ox, he has served faithfully for 12 years, including 3 years in the special duty role.
The above is the situation. Overall, his supervision is good, he serves faithfully and practically, shows initiative in his work, and I believe he would be useful for official duties. I have heard that there is currently a vacancy in the fire watch duty at the Western Palace. If it is possible, I humbly request that he be appointed to this vacant position. Although I have not been in my current position for very long, the previous incumbent Minobe Hachizō had repeatedly made this request, and this has been communicated to me, so I am presenting this matter. Moreover, Yamaji Yazaemon has also made this request. I have already reported this matter to Lord Matsudaira Genba-no-kami, who is on duty, so I humbly make this request. The above.
