　大黄 一㦮　　黄芩 一㦮　　黄連 五分
　右三味水一合半入湯ヲヨク沸（ワカシ）諸薬ヲ入一合

排毒湯
　午房子 七分　荊芥 三分　　羗活　　窮芎
　黄芩　　防風　　葛根　各五分　柴胡三分
　甘艸 一分
右八味水一合半入一合ヲ取頓服小児半減ノ

現代語訳

病気になるのである。始めは咽頭がかすれて苛立ち、痛み、灼熱する。その熱は三四日から六七日に至る。もっとも熱には軽重がある。強いものは譫語妄言する。顔が赤くなり目が腫れて涙が出て頭痛し、咽頭が痛み咳が出て、くしゃみをし、嘔吐して痰が出て煩渇し、全身が疼痛する。これらの症状は虚実を論ぜず、一律に用いる薬は三黄瀉心湯を与える。初めに身に潤いがあり汗が出て大便が瀉下するのは大いによく、順症である。三黄湯を与える必要はない。さて、大便が瀉する症状と、三黄を用いて二三回下痢すれば、排毒湯を与えるべきである。

三黄瀉心湯
　大黄 一匁　　黄芩 一匁　　黄連 五分
　右三味、水一合半を入れ湯をよく沸かし、諸薬を入れて一合を取る。再服。小児は半減する。

排毒湯
　牛蒡子 七分　荊芥 三分　　羌活　　川芎
　黄芩　　防風　　葛根　各五分　柴胡三分
　甘草 一分
右八味、水一合半を入れて一合を取る。頓服。小児は半減する。

英語訳

fall ill. Initially, the throat becomes hoarse and irritated, with pain and burning heat. This fever lasts from three to four days up to six to seven days. The fever varies in severity from mild to severe. In severe cases, patients suffer from delirium and incoherent speech. The face becomes red, the eyes swell with tears flowing, there is headache, throat pain, coughing, sneezing, vomiting with phlegm, vexation and thirst, and whole-body pain. For these symptoms, regardless of whether the constitution is deficient or excessive, the universally used medicine is Sanhuang Xiexin Tang (Three Yellows Heart-Draining Decoction). If initially there is moisture on the body with sweating and diarrheal bowel movements, this is very good—it is a favorable symptom. There is no need to give Three Yellows Decoction. Now, for symptoms with diarrheal bowel movements, or when using Three Yellows causes two to three episodes of diarrhea, Paidoku Tang (Toxin-Expelling Decoction) should be given.

Sanhuang Xiexin Tang (Three Yellows Heart-Draining Decoction)
　Rhubarb 1 monme　　Scutellaria 1 monme　　Coptis 5 bu
　For the above three ingredients, add 1.5 gō of water, boil well, add all medicines and reduce to 1 gō. Take twice daily. Reduce by half for children.

Paidoku Tang (Toxin-Expelling Decoction)
　Burdock seed 7 bu　Schizonepeta 3 bu　　Notopterygium　　Ligusticum
　Scutellaria　　Saposhnikovia　　Pueraria　5 bu each　Bupleurum 3 bu
　Licorice 1 bu
For the above eight ingredients, add 1.5 gō of water and reduce to 1 gō. Take all at once. Reduce by half for children.
