現代語訳

てよし。大人で当今の人で梅毒の人が多く、或いは疳瘡、便毒、骨痛等を患い服薬して、その人は病が平癒したと思えども、この病は根深いものにて遺毒がなお残るもので、麻疹を病むに毒が極めて深く変症が出るものなり。初めに三黄加芎を用い、解毒排毒をおろそかにすべからざるなり。

右を水煎服す

麻疹が内攻するのは、これ至って大事なり。発表の剤に穿山甲を加え用いよ。痰喘の壅塞あるにはテリヤアカを生姜の自然汁にて用い、煎湯は麻黄・連翹・赤小豆・商陸・大黄・杏仁・枳実・甘草を用いよ。安永流行の時に一角を与えて多く即効を得たり。その時の治方は、麻疹精要の透表、不透表、没早の条の治方にて功あり。精要の治方よきゆえ、ここに贅せず、行って閲るべし。

Very well. Among adults of today, many suffer from syphilis, or alternatively from gan-sō (scrofulous sores), ben-doku (venereal poison), bone pain, etc. They take medicine and think their illness has been cured, but this disease is deep-rooted and residual toxins remain. When they contract measles, the poison is extremely deep and abnormal symptoms appear. Initially, use San-ō-ka-kyū, and detoxification and poison elimination must not be neglected.

Detoxification Decoction:
Ledebouriella root, mint, schizonepeta, gypsum, cnidium
Platycodon, burdock seed, forsythia, rhubarb, licorice

When measles attacks internally, this is extremely serious. Add pangolin scales to the surface-releasing formula. When there is obstruction from phlegm and asthma, use terra japonica with natural ginger juice. For decoctions, use ephedra, forsythia, red adzuki beans, pokeweed, rhubarb, apricot kernel, bitter orange, and licorice. During the An'ei period epidemic, unicorn horn was given and immediate effects were often obtained. The treatment methods of that time were effective using the treatment formulas from the "Measles Essentials" sections on "surface penetration," "non-surface penetration," and "early disappearance." Since the treatment methods in the Essentials are good, I will not elaborate here - one should go and read them.
