漂荒紀事巻之二
この荒島に漂着してから多くの年月を経て、気候をかなり熟知するようになった。
その気候は、ヨーロッパの春夏秋冬のようではなく、乾季と雨季が一年中に二回ある。一年の月を分けて、乾季と雨季を順序立てると次のようである。

右は雨季であって雨が止まない。太陽は赤道上にある。

Having spent many years since drifting to this desolate island, I have come to know the climate quite well.
The climate here is not like the spring, summer, autumn, and winter of Europe, but has dry and rainy seasons twice a year. Dividing the months of the year and arranging the dry and rainy seasons in order is as follows:
From the latter half of the second month

The above is the rainy season when the rain does not stop. The sun is at the equator.
