【第二十四項】
浅草馬道の道哲木戸付近から火災が発生し、同所の谷中・天王寺門前・代地町・山川町が焼失。同所の西方では、寺々が大崩壊して延焼が止まった。同所の南方西側では、不二（富士）のあたりで少し残り、それより吉祥院・高裏・徳応院・庚申堂・延命院・地蔵堂・誠心院・無動院・鳥寺・教善院・申寺などは、いずれも数百軒の裏店（裏長屋）が残らず焼失。同所の南方では、浅草寺の随身門前の居酒屋まで焼け、同所の向かい側から西方の南馬道まで一丁半が焼けた。以上、前述の道哲よりここまで、南北九丁余りが焼失した。

**Entry 24:**
Starting from the Dōtetsu gate at Asakusa Umamichi (Horse Road), fires spread through Yanaka, the precinct before Tennō-ji temple gate, Daichi-chō, and Yamakawa-chō. To the west, the fire stopped at the large-scale collapse of several temples. On the western side of the southern area, a small section near Fuji survived, but beyond that, Kichijō-in, Takaura, Tokuo-in, Kōshin-dō, Enmei-in, Jizō-dō, Seishin-in, Mudō-in, Tori-dera, Kyōzen-in, Saru-dera, and others all had their hundreds of back tenements completely burned. To the south, fires reached as far as the taverns in front of Asakusa-dera's Zuishin Gate, and from the opposite side westward to Minami-Umamichi (South Horse Road), a stretch of one and a half chō (approximately 165 meters) burned. In total, from the aforementioned Dōtetsu gate to this point, more than nine chō (approximately 990 meters) in the north-south direction were destroyed by fire.
△ Asakusa-dera's main hall suffered no damage. The various halls and monks' quarters were severely damaged. △ The nine-ringed finial (kurin) atop the Five-Story Great Pagoda was bent. Also on the eastern side of Umamichi in the same area, fires spread southward as far as Benten-dō, Seiryū-in, Hyaku-Kannon-dō, Senryō-in, Senzō-in, Fuji-miya, Shūzen-in, Tora-Yakushi, and Myōtoku-in. To the south, fires reached Iō-in, the Twenty-Third Night Hall, Kontara-dō, the historic site of Ubagaike (Old Hag's Pond), and the First Gongen Shrine. Along the eastern side of Zuishin Gate avenue, Kongō-in, Kakuzen-in, Hōzen-in, Myōon-in, and Kenshō-in burned, as did Jishō-in and Jizō-dō on the southern side.
**Entry 25:**
In Saruwaka-chō, the theater district, the following establishments were destroyed by fire: the Nakamura Kanzaburō theater (1st block), the Ichimura Uzaemon theater (2nd block), the Kawarasaki Gonnosuke theater (3rd block), as well as the puppet theaters of Ōsatsuma Kichiemon and Yūki Magosaburō. The backstage alleys, actors' alleyways, and hundreds of back tenements in the area were also completely burned.
