近此地におゐて祈願ありしにふしきなるかな虚空
より鷲飛下りて奇瑞を顕す是に依自ら信し給ふ
処の本尊釈迦仏を納め残し置給ふ霊仏とあり
神体は一寸八分の仏鷲に乗りてある唐かねの鋳
仏のよし乗りてを仏を祭らずして乗られいる鷲
を祭るといふは物好といふべし此寺の縁起も拵ものと
見へて信しかたし鷲大明神といふは其外に伝ふ処の
古事来歴も有べし古しへのことあとをうしない何にて
もなくては叶ふましと埓もなき説を書記しけるの

よし霜月酉の日には江戸中貴賤となく夥敷参詣
群集する事にて名物とて唐の芋を売といふ
五月中旬綾瀬川の辺に至る此川やさしき名成は
古歌抔有へしと里人に尋しに知らすさて此辺
の土地は大上々国と思れ荒川近村よるも勝れし
やうに見へ綿抔も作り空地更になく綾瀬川を越て
は田方七分畑方三分何れの村にも難渋の貧者と見ゆる
家なし委敷聞は御鷹掛の御用筋も有故に貢物
やすく水旱の難たにあらされは至ての上地也中川と

現代語訳

この地において祈願したところ、不思議なことに虚空より鷲が飛び下りて奇跡を現した。これによって自ら信仰を深められ、ご本尊の釈迦仏を納めて残し置かれた霊仏とある。神体は一寸八分の仏が鷲に乗った唐金の鋳仏とのことである。乗っている仏を祭らずして、乗られている鷲を祭るというのは物好きというべきである。この寺の縁起も作り話と見えて信じがたい。鷲大明神というのはその他に伝わる古事来歴もあるはずである。古いことの跡を失い、何でもないのでは都合が悪いと、埒もない説を書き記したのであろう。

霜月（11月）の酉の日には江戸中の貴賤を問わず大勢が参詣し群衆する。名物として唐の芋を売るという。

When prayers were offered at this place, miraculously an eagle flew down from the sky and manifested divine signs. Due to this, faith was deepened, and a sacred statue of Shakyamuni Buddha was enshrined there as a miraculous Buddha. The sacred object is described as a bronze cast Buddha figure of 1 sun 8 bu (about 5.4 cm) riding on an eagle. It seems peculiar that they worship the eagle that is being ridden rather than the Buddha who is riding it. This temple's founding legend also appears to be fabricated and is hard to believe. As for the Eagle Great Myōjin deity, there should be other ancient stories and histories that have been passed down. Having lost traces of ancient matters, they probably wrote down these groundless explanations thinking that having nothing at all would be inconvenient.
