綾瀬川の間凡一里中より下総の国迄或は一里
半又は一里廿町斗畳を敷くことく平地にてひやう
ひやうとせし田所数万町今田 上（ウヱ）の最中にして
老若男女童にいたる迄も立交りうたひさゝめく風情
堯舜の民たり共かくは有まじと目をよろこば
せし□にて【事にて】老し身も若帰りし心地してよめる

中川の岸に柳稲荷と称す小社有柳数多繁茂し
流れにのそみし所にて少し風景ありさしての所にて
あらす足立郡通行は郡を五つに割其壱つ成故に
名所旧地風景の地に至らず遺念といふへし別て此
辺は皆〳〵新田所にして事跡更になし何右衛門新田
と称せる其新田所開発人の名にして浪人抔来て

現代語訳

綾瀬川の間は凡そ一里、中間より下総国まで一里半、または一里二十町ほどで、畳を敷いたように平らな土地である。ひょうひょうとした田んぼが数万町もあり、今は田植えの最中で、老若男女、子供に至るまでが立ち混じって歌い、ささやき合う風情は、堯舜の治世の民でもこのようではないだろうと目を喜ばせる光景である。老いた身も若返った心地がしてこのように詠んだ。

　思い越し何を嘆かん老いぬとも　かかるめでたき御代に逢う身は

久左衛門新田【足立区】
この地に曲り松という風格のよい老樹がある。
有徳院様（徳川吉宗）がお褒めになった松だという。

佐野新田【足立区】
中川の岸に柳稲荷と称する小さな社がある。柳が数多く繁茂し、川の流れに臨んだ所で少し風景がある。しかし特別な場所ではない。足立郡の通行は郡を五つに分けたうちの一つに過ぎないため、名所旧跡や風景の地には至らず、遺憾というべきである。特にこの辺りは皆新田所であって、歴史的な事跡は全くない。何右衛門新田と称するのは、その新田を開発した人の名前であり、浪人などが来て...

The area between the Ayase River spans about one ri, and from the middle section to Shimōsa Province is about one and a half ri, or roughly one ri and twenty chō. The land is as flat as if tatami mats were spread out. There are tens of thousands of chō of expansive rice fields, and now during the height of rice planting season, old and young, men and women, even children are working together, singing and chattering. This scene brings such joy to the eyes that even the people under the sage kings Yao and Shun could not have been like this. My old body felt as if it had returned to youth, and I composed this poem:

What is there to lament, even though I grow old? / To encounter such an auspicious reign

Kyūzaemon Shinden [Adachi Ward]
In this place there is an old tree called the "Bent Pine" with fine character.
It is said to be a pine tree that was praised by Lord Tokudō-in (Tokugawa Yoshimune).

Sano Shinden [Adachi Ward]
On the banks of the Naka River there is a small shrine called Yanagi Inari. Many willow trees flourish there, and it overlooks the flowing water, creating a somewhat scenic spot. However, it is nothing particularly special. The route through Adachi District covers only one-fifth of the district, so it does not reach famous places, historical sites, or scenic locations, which is regrettable. Particularly in this area, everything consists of newly developed rice fields (shinden), so there are no historical sites whatsoever.
