事也にもいふからこからすが水田へ子を産と太切の神を
水に流世を出家とは同様なるべしおも無御働き也稲囲て
傾城屋には男根を祭り
諸守とす殊勝といふへし

幡正山【幡勝山】炎天寺といふありさして【脱：の】寺院にはあらされ共
六月村の炎天寺とは珍らし迚能人の知れる寺也いふ伝には【いひ伝には】
八幡太郎義家公奥州え発向の時いかゞの事にや当国
之野武士大勢をもやふし下向の道を御へぎる頃は六月
炎天の時にて味方労れて戦ふ色なし義家公鎌倉

鶴ヶ岡八幡宮に幣帛をさゝげ祈誓し給ひけれは日の
光猶焼がことし毎時日影をうしろとなし押寄給ふ依
敵は日に向ふ故に面を照し眼くらみて討るゝもの数千人
大ひに敗北して義家公大きに利を得給ひし故船地に
八幡宮を勧請し村名を六月村とし別当寺を炎
天寺と名附給ふとのこと也左も有りしにや何にもせよ他
国にいまだ聞さる称号也珍しといふべし

五智山惣持寺【総持寺・西新井大師】といふ新儀の真言宗有御朱印弐拾石

ことである。にもいうからこからすが水田へ子を産むと大切の神を水に流す。世を出家とは同様であるべし。おも（思う）に無益な働きである。稲を囲んで傾城屋（遊郭）には男根を祭り、

諸守とする。殊勝というべきである。

六月村【足立区】
幡正山【幡勝山】炎天寺というのがある。さしたる寺院ではないけれど、六月村の炎天寺とは珍しいといって、よく人の知れる寺である。言い伝えには

八幡太郎義家公が奥州へ出発の時、いかなることか、当国の野武士が大勢をもって出陣し、下向の道を塞いだ。頃は六月炎天の時で、味方が疲れて戦う様子もない。義家公は鎌倉

鶴ヶ岡八幡宮に幣帛を捧げて祈誓なさったところ、日の光がなお焼けるようであった。毎時日影を後ろとなして押し寄せなさったので、敵は日に向かうがゆえに面を照らされて眼がくらみ、討たれるもの数千人、大いに敗北して義家公は大きに利を得なさった。ゆえにその地に八幡宮を勧請し、村名を六月村とし、別当寺を炎天寺と名付けなさったとのことである。そのようなこともあったのであろうか。何にもせよ、他国にいまだ聞かない称号である。珍しいというべきである。

西新井村【足立区】
五智山総持寺【総持寺・西新井大師】という新儀の真言宗がある。御朱印二十石。

Rokugatsu Village [Adachi Ward]
There is a temple called Hanshō-zan [Hanshō-zan] Enten-ji. Though it is not a particularly notable temple, Enten-ji in Rokugatsu Village is unusual and well-known among people. According to legend,

when Hachiman-tarō Yoshiie departed for Ōshū, for some reason, local warriors of this province gathered in great numbers and blocked the road of his southward journey. It was during the scorching heat of the sixth month, and his allies were exhausted with no spirit to fight. Yoshiie prayed to

Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gū in Kamakura, offering sacred gifts, and the sunlight became even more burning. He attacked with the sun always at his back, so the enemy faced the sun, their faces were illuminated and their eyes dazzled, thousands were struck down, they suffered a great defeat, and Yoshiie gained a great victory. Therefore, he established a Hachiman shrine at that place, named the village Rokugatsu Village, and named the temple administrator's temple Enten-ji. Whether this actually happened or not, in any case, this is a designation not yet heard of in other provinces. It should be called remarkable.

Nishiarai Village [Adachi Ward]
There is Gochi-zan Sōji-ji [Sōji-ji Temple・Nishiarai Daishi], a temple of the Shingon sect of new tradition, with a vermillion seal grant of twenty koku.
