本書ノ校異ニ採択シタ諸本ハ、再三調査ヲ繰返シテ誤謬ヲ根絶スルコトニ努メタガ、所蔵者ノ都合ニヨツテ
極メテ短時間ノ内ニ調査シ、再調ノ機会ヲ許サレナカツタモノモアル。例ヘバ、青表紙本中ノ横山本、別本中
ノ保坂本ノ如キハソレデアル。尚原稿作製ノ都合上、昭和十三年以後ノ発見ニ係ル諸本ハ割愛シタ。

前記ノ諸本ノ異文ヲ標記スルタメニ、ソノ中カラ底本トスベキモノヲ選択スルニ当ツテハ、厳密ナ考証ヲ重
ネタ結果、藤原定家ノ青表紙本ヲ以テ之ニ当テルコトトシ、花散里・柏木・早蕨ノ三帖ハ現存スル定家本ヲ用
ヰタ。ソノ他ノ諸帖ニ於テハ、現存諸本中定家本ノ形態ヲ最モ忠実ニ伝ヘテヰルト考ヘラレル大島本ヲ用ヰタ。
但シ、桐壺・夢浮橋ノ二帖ハ大島本ガ補写デアリ、初音ハ大島本ガ別本系統ノ本文デアリ、浮舟ハ大島本ガ之

本書の校異に採択した諸本は、再三調査を繰り返して誤謬を根絶することに努めたが、所蔵者の都合によって極めて短時間の内に調査し、再調の機会を許されなかったものもある。例えば、青表紙本中の横山本、別本中の保坂本のようなものがそれである。なお原稿作成の都合上、昭和十三年以後の発見に係る諸本は割愛した。
底本
前記の諸本の異文を標記するために、その中から底本とすべきものを選択するにあたっては、厳密な考証を重ねた結果、藤原定家の青表紙本を以てこれに当てることとし、花散里・柏木・早蕨の三帖は現存する定家本を用いた。その他の諸帖においては、現存諸本中定家本の形態を最も忠実に伝えていると考えられる大島本を用いた。但し、桐壺・夢浮橋の二帖は大島本が補写であり、初音は大島本が別本系統の本文であり、浮舟は大島本がこれを欠いているから、これらの諸帖は大島本に次ぐべき地位を有する池田本を用いた。

The various texts adopted for the textual variants in this work have been repeatedly investigated to eliminate errors, but some had to be examined within extremely short periods due to the circumstances of their owners, without opportunity for re-examination. Examples include the Yokoyama text among the Aobyoshi texts and the Hosaka text among the variant texts. Furthermore, for reasons of manuscript preparation, texts discovered after 1938 have been omitted.
Base Text
In selecting a base text from among the aforementioned texts for marking textual variants, after conducting rigorous scholarly investigation, we decided to use Fujiwara no Teika's Aobyoshi text as the base. For the three chapters Hanachirusato, Kashiwagi, and Sawarabi, we used the extant Teika text. For the other chapters, we used the Oshima text, which is considered to most faithfully preserve the form of the Teika text among existing texts. However, since the Oshima text is a supplementary copy for the two chapters Kiritsubo and Yume no Ukihashi, the Oshima text follows a variant text lineage for Hatsune, and the Oshima text lacks Ukifune, we used the Ikeda text, which holds the position next to the Oshima text, for these chapters.
