導赤散について。『局方』所載。

大承気湯一服を得て小便が注ぐように出て愈えたことについて。下巻応下諸証の小便閉の条に云く、「大便不通で気結して舒びず、大便が行われれば小便は立ちどころに解す。誤って行気利水薬を服しても無益である」と。また劉松峯の『説疫』巻二、二便不通の条に云く、「もし小便閉のみの者は、大便を行わせれば小便は通ず。徒に小便を利するのは無益である」と。
注者受之について。『類編』では、注を窪に作る。
但だその疫を治せば旧病は自ら愈えることについて。肢体浮腫の条に云く、「向に単に腹脹があってその後疫を患った者は、治は疫にあり。もし先年かつて水腫を患い、疫によって発した者は、但だ治は疫にあり、腹脹水腫は自ら愈える」と。
急証急攻について（『類編』巻一では急症急攻論と作す）。劉松峯曰く、「この篇は当に急証の二字に着眼すべし。もし急証なくしてこの法を用いれば、また事を敗らざること鮮し。当に細々と体認すべき所、粗心の人は知らざるべからず」と。

Regarding "obtained one dose of Great承気 Decoction and urination flowed like pouring water, leading to recovery": In the lower volume's section on various symptoms requiring purging, under the urinary retention entry, it states: "When bowel movements are blocked and qi is bound and cannot flow smoothly, once the bowels move, urination is immediately resolved. Taking qi-moving and water-promoting medicines by mistake is useless." Also, in Liu Songfeng's "Discussion on Epidemics" volume 2, under the entry on blockage of both bowel and urinary functions, it states: "If only urination is blocked, promoting bowel movements will open urination. Merely promoting urination is useless."
Regarding "the low-lying areas receive it": In the Leibian (Categorical Compilation), "zhu" (pour) is written as "wa" (hollow/depression).
Regarding "merely treat the epidemic and the old disease will heal itself": In the section on limb and body edema, it states: "For those who previously had simple abdominal distension and later contracted the epidemic, treatment lies in the epidemic. If someone suffered from edema in previous years and it manifested due to the epidemic, treatment lies only in the epidemic, and the abdominal distension and edema will heal themselves."
Regarding "urgent symptoms require urgent attack" (in Leibian volume 1, written as "Theory of Urgent Attack for Urgent Symptoms"): Liu Songfeng said: "This section should focus on the two characters 'urgent symptoms.' If this method is used without urgent symptoms, it will rarely avoid causing harm. This must be carefully discerned; careless people must understand this."
