多岐之惑《割書:廿|ウ》 列子説符篇、楊子之鄰人亡羊、既率
其党、又請楊子之豎追之、楊子曰、嘻亡一羊、何追

曰、奚亡之、曰、岐路之中、又有岐焉、吾不知所之、所

生山梔仁《割書:廿一|ウ》 徐霊胎曰、古方梔子皆生用、故入口
即吐、後人作湯、以梔子炒黒、不復作吐、全失用梔
子之意、然服之於虚煩証、亦有験、想其清肺除煩

原文故にこの説有り。
多岐の惑い:列子説符篇に「楊子の隣人羊を亡す。既にその党を率い、又楊子の竪に請いてこれを追う。楊子曰く『嘻、一羊を亡すに、何ぞ追う者の衆きや』と。隣人曰く『岐路多し』と。既に反り、問う『羊を獲たるか』と。曰く『これを亡えり』と。曰く『奚んぞこれを亡えるや』と。曰く『岐路の中、又岐有り。吾れその之く所を知らず、反る所以なり』と」。
辟するに氷炭の如し:塩鉄論に云く「氷炭器を同じくせず、日月並び明ならず」と。
邪胸膈に在り
疫邪胸膈に留まる:疫邪心胸に留まる者は下証なり。この膈の字は字眼なり。下後反って痞し、下後反って嘔する条攷うべし。
生山梔仁:徐霊胎曰く「古方の梔子皆生用す、故に口に入るれば即ち吐く。後人湯を作るに、梔子を以て炒って黒くし、復た吐を作さず、全く梔子を用いるの意を失う。然れども之を虚煩証に服すれば、亦験有り。想うにその清肺除煩の性故に在るなり。終に当に古法に従い生用するを妙と為すべし」と。
傷寒時疫を弁明す
子言う傷寒と時疫とは霄壌の隔て有り:呉氏序文。
時疫斑を発すれば則ち病衰う:劉松峯云く「瘟疫斑を発するも、竟に病衰えざる者有り」と。
邪出でずして疾瘳えず:劉松峯、而を則に改む。
仮如:二字、管して無復た風寒の分有ること無きに到る六十六字。

The Confusion of Multiple Paths: In the Liezi's "Explaining Symbols" chapter: "Yang Zi's neighbor lost a sheep. He led his group and also requested Yang Zi's servant to pursue it. Yang Zi said, 'Alas, for losing one sheep, why are there so many pursuers?' The neighbor said, 'There are many diverging paths.' When they returned, he asked, 'Did you catch the sheep?' They said, 'We lost it.' He said, 'Why did you lose it?' They said, 'Within the diverging paths, there were yet more divergences. We did not know which way to go, so we returned.'"
Like Ice and Charcoal: The Discourse on Salt and Iron states: "Ice and charcoal cannot share the same vessel; sun and moon cannot shine together."
Evil in the Chest and Diaphragm
Epidemic Evil Lingering in the Chest and Diaphragm: When epidemic evil lingers in the heart and chest, this is a purging syndrome. This character "diaphragm" is the key point. The conditions of "fullness after purging" and "vomiting after purging" can be examined for reference.
Raw Gardenia Seeds: Xu Lingtai said: "Ancient prescriptions all used gardenia raw, so it would cause vomiting immediately upon entering the mouth. Later physicians, when making decoctions, stir-fried gardenia until black, so it no longer caused vomiting, completely losing the intention of using gardenia. However, when taken for vexation syndrome, it still has efficacy. I imagine this is because its nature of clearing the lungs and eliminating vexation remains. In the end, one should follow the ancient method and use it raw for the best effect."
Distinguishing Between Cold Damage and Seasonal Epidemics
You say cold damage and seasonal epidemics have a separation like heaven and earth: From Wu's preface.
When seasonal epidemics develop rashes, the disease declines: Liu Songfeng said: "When warm epidemics develop rashes, there are still cases where the disease does not decline."
When evil does not emerge, the disease does not heal: Liu Songfeng changed "while" to "then."
