九 方々（はう〴〵）小屋（こや）がけ付 門（かど）柱（はしら）に哥を張（はり）ける事
をよそこの時にあたつて洛中（らくちう）はし〴〵には
家もたをれ人も疵（きず）をかうふり【こうぶり(蒙り)＝受け】土蔵（どざう）のくづれ
たる事 京都に二百 余庫（よこ）なり打ころされ
ける人四十余人とかやそのほか諸寺（しよじ）諸社（しよしや）の石（いし）
どうろう築地（つゐぢ）五 輪（りん）石塔（せきたう）あるひは軒かたふきあ
るひは棟（むな）がはらくづれおち寺〳〵のつり鐘（かね）共は
橦木（しもく）【「しゅもく(撞木)」の変化した語。鉦叩(かねたたき)又は釣鐘をつく棒。】うごきふらめきてみな一同にはやがねをつきけるこそいとゞきもつぶれおどろきけれ

さて、この時にあたって洛中のあちこちでは家も倒れ、人も怪我を負い、土蔵が崩れたことは京都で二百余棟であった。打ち殺された人は四十余人とかいう。その他、諸寺諸社の石灯籠、築地、五輪石塔、あるいは軒が傾き、あるいは棟が壊れて崩れ落ち、寺々の釣鐘は撞木が動いて揺らめき、皆が一斉に早鐘を撞いたのは、いっそう肝を潰し驚かされることであった。
