While we do not know about the ancient age of gods, according to records that appear from the era of human emperors, earthquakes are already recorded as having first occurred on the fourteenth day of the seventh month of the fifth year of Emperor Ingyō, the twentieth human emperor, in the year of hinoe-tatsu (436 CE).
