その御たくせんのこと柴にいはくいかに願人（ぐはんにん）よく

たるこそうれしけれ大なゆがゆりておそろし
さに丸（まる）【「まろ」の変化した語。室町時代から見られる。人名、特に幼名(牛若丸、蝉丸)に用いたり、下層の者に用いたり、船の名に用いたりされているが室町中期ころから天皇またはこれに準ずる人が用いた。ここではご託宣をおろす神自身の自称として用いられている。「まろ」の意。】にいのりをかくるよな丸もきづかひ【「き」の字の一画目がうすく「さ」にみえているのでは】を

こにも小宮 小社（こやしろ）まで在所（ざいしよ）〳〵より湯（ゆ）をまいらせ
ていのりをかくるに社（やしろ）は替り在所はちがへども
神子（みこ）は四の宮の神子只一人なりこゝかしこへやと
はれて御たくせんをおろし奉るに大かたおなし
事なり大津かいだう山科（やましな）わたり【「あたり」の意】諸羽（もろはの）大明神
に湯（ゆ）をまいらせしに四の宮の神子（みこ）をやとひて

その神のお告げの内容について、（神が）このように言った。「どうだ願人よ、よくぞ今湯を与えてくれた。三熱の苦しみから救われたことが嬉しい。大地震で揺れて恐ろしく、私に祈りをかけるようだが、私も心配をするのだ。今も揺れた地震に、私も恐ろしくて松の木へ飛び上がった。氏子どもが怖がるのは道理である。しかしながら私の心をよく理解せよ。氏子どもを精一杯守ろうとは思うけれども、大地震が揺れるたびに私の胸が躍って、守り続けていることができないのだ。ただそれぞれがよくよく用心をせよ」と言って、神は上がられた。

近江路は特に大地震が振動したので、あちこちにも小宮・小社まで、在所々から湯を奉納して祈りをかけるのに、社は変わり在所は違えども、巫女は四宮の巫女ただ一人である。あちこちへ雇われて神託を下し奉るのに、大体同じことである。大津街道山科あたりの諸羽大明神に湯を奉納した時に、四宮の巫女を雇って神託を下し奉る。すでに湯を浴び終わって、やがて神託があった。「どうだ氏子どもよ、よく聞け。この年月日頃は、私をいるものかとも思わず、社壇も拝殿も壊れ傾き、辺りには草のみ生い茂り...

Regarding the content of that divine oracle, (the god) spoke as follows: "How well you have done, petitioner, to give me hot water just now! I am pleased to be saved from the three burning torments. The great earthquake shook terrifyingly, and though you pray to me, I too worry. Even now with this earthquake that shook, I too was so frightened that I leaped up into the pine tree. It is only natural that the parishioners are afraid. However, understand my heart well. Though I think to protect the parishioners with all my might, each time a great earthquake shakes, my heart pounds and I cannot continue protecting steadily. You must each take very good care." Having said this, the god ascended.
