五倫（ごりん）とは君臣（くんしん）父子（ふし）夫婦（ふうふ）兄弟（きやうだい）朋友（ほうゆう）の御五ッの道（みち）なり父子（ふし）の間（あいだ）は骨肉（こつにく）を
わけたる事（こと）なれば相（あい）したしむ理（り）あり君臣（くんしん）の間（あいだ）は他人（たにん）なれ共 君（きみ）は禄（ろく）をあたへて
養（やしな）ひ臣（しん）は身（み）をゆだねてつかふる事（こと）たかひに義（ぎ）を以（もつ）て交（まじは）る理（り）あり夫婦（ふうふ）は
なれやすきものなれば男女（なんによ）の礼義（れいぎ）を正（たゞ）しくわかつ理（り）あり兄弟（きやうだい）は兄（あに）を敬（うやま）ひ弟（おとゝ）を

五倫
【左頁下部】
五倫とは君臣・父子・夫婦・兄弟・朋友の五つの道である。父子の間は血肉を分けた関係であるから互いに親しむ理がある。君臣の間は他人であるが、君は禄を与えて養い、臣は身を委ねて仕える関係で、互いに義を以って交わる理がある。夫婦は慣れやすいものであるから男女の礼儀を正しく分ける理がある。兄弟は兄を敬い弟を憐れむ序列がある。朋友は常に交わす言葉が違わないよう誠を以って交わる理がある。人間が行うべき道は天地の間にこの五つの外にはない。五倫の道を明らかにするのを人の人たる道と言うのである。この五つの道に背けば形は人であっても心は鳥獣と異なることはない。
仁 他を恵み我を忘れて物事に慈悲ある人を仁と知るべし
義 へつらわず驕ることなく争わず欲を離れて義理を案ぜよ
礼 君を仰ぎ臣を思ってかりそめも高き卑しき礼儀乱すな
智 何事もその種々を知る人を広く尋ねて他を馬鹿にするな
信 心いと直かるべしと祈りつつ悪きを捨てて良きを伴え

The Five Relationships
【Lower Left Page】
The Five Relationships are the five paths of ruler-minister, father-child, husband-wife, brothers, and friends. Between father and child, since they share flesh and blood, there is reason for mutual affection. Between ruler and minister, though they are strangers, the ruler provides stipend and nurture while the minister dedicates his life in service—there is reason for them to interact through righteousness. Husband and wife easily become familiar with each other, so there is reason to properly distinguish between male and female proprieties. Among brothers, there is an order of respecting the elder and showing compassion for the younger. Friends should interact with sincerity so their words remain consistent. In the space between heaven and earth, there are no other paths for humans to follow beyond these five. Making clear the path of the Five Relationships is called the path of being truly human. If one goes against these five paths, though one's form may be human, one's heart will be no different from birds and beasts.
Benevolence: Know that those who benefit others while forgetting themselves and show compassion in all things possess benevolence
Righteousness: Do not flatter or be arrogant, do not quarrel, separate from desire and consider what is right
Propriety: Revere your lord and think of your subjects—do not disturb the proprieties between high and low even carelessly
Wisdom: Seek widely among those who know the various aspects of all things, and do not look down on others
Trustworthiness: Pray that your heart be truly upright, abandon evil and accompany good
