世の子たる人は、この呉猛の孝心を読んで感涙し、我が身を恥じるべきことである。特に皆さん方は父母・先祖のおかげで蚊帳もあり、火燵もあり、これだけでも親の御恩を有難く思い申し上げるべきことである。その上、父母は子たる者を風寒暑湿にあてまいとし、蚤や蚊にも食わせまいと我が身を捨てて、子の息災無事なることのみを願い給うのが親の常である。呉猛のような孝心は所詮及ばずとも、
