【右丁】
欲張り婆は重い葛籠をやっと背負って帰ったところ、道中で中の物が見たくなり、どんどん持ち重りがしてつづらの紐が切れたので、中より這い出るような異様な化け物が出てきた。
【左丁】
「もーん、がーっ！とってくりょー」
「あんまり毛の生えた化け物は出ぬが、よい半魚雅がいやがるだろう」
「ああ恐ろしや、ご免ご免ご免」

The greedy old woman carried the heavy basket on her back and was returning home when, on the way, she became curious about what was inside. As it became heavier and heavier to carry, the basket's rope broke, and strange demons came crawling out from within.
