一　当村石切之儀悉詮儀仕候処此外壱人も無御座候
　　然上者石切旅先ニ弟子召抱候儀決而不仕候
　　随分実躰妹正路ニ相廻り候様申付致承知候
　　御帳面を除キ隠置候段及御聞候ハヽ其許様
　　御注進被成候由致承知其上□者共如何様之
　　御咎致　仰付候共少茂御恨ミ申間敷候

指上申一札之事

一、当村の石切の件について詳しく調査いたしましたところ、この他に一人もおりません。
　　したがって、石切が旅先で弟子を抱えることは決してしません。
　　できる限り実直に正しい道を歩むよう申し付け、承知いたしました。
　　帳面から除いて隠しておいた件について、もしお聞きになることがあれば、そちら様に
　　ご報告していただくということを承知しており、その上で私どもがどのような
　　お咎めを受けることになっても、少しも恨みに思うことはありません。
　　後日の証拠として、よって書面の通りです。

Document of Declaration

1. Regarding the matter of stonemasons in our village, we have conducted a thorough investigation and found that there are no others besides those already known.
　　Therefore, stonemasons will absolutely not take on disciples while traveling.
　　We have instructed them to conduct themselves with utmost honesty and follow the proper path, and this has been acknowledged.
　　Regarding the matter of removing and concealing entries from the register, we understand that if you hear of such incidents, you should report them to the authorities.
　　Furthermore, we acknowledge that whatever punishment we may receive, we shall harbor no resentment whatsoever.
　　This document serves as evidence for future reference.
