はふれさせ給ふほとにくわうきよの御出おそく
ならせ給へはとく参らんとて御出ありぬ御びん

見参らせけるさすかにかたはらいたくおほしめし

帝がお覗きになると、扇を差し隠し微笑まれたが、あくまでも気高く美しく、目元や口元の美しさは、どのような絵師が描こうとも、どうして筆などで表現できようか。帝は御覧になって「扇を差し隠している様子はいかがなものか」とお思いになり、手をお差し入れになったところ、二葉が震えるようにお震えになっている間に、皇居への御出が遅くなってしまわれたので、早く参ろうとしてお出ましになった。御鬢を豊かに結われて渡らせ給うと、雲客（公卿たち）が目をつけて拝見していた。さすがに（帝も姫君も）きまりが悪くお思いになって、急いでお入りになった。ただ柏木卿殿にのみ籠もっていらっしゃって、大臣や公卿が参上しても、
