光明を放つなるへしと物知り顔の
論語しらすにしはしは憂を凌ける爰に
ふしきとするは斯天変の後御本佛をはし
め奉に前立本尊御印文【ごいんもん＝まじない。またお守り札や護符。】堀切道の
《割書：従御本堂丑寅ニ當リ｜畑之中ニ御假小屋建ル》かたはらに三月廿五日より
四月十六日まて安置奉る《割書：其畫圖ヲ不出ハ此｜所ニ其印ヲ可為残》
《割書：依テ後代尚｜不盡ナルヘシ》所に遠近諸國参詣の旅人引も
きらす爰に群集す此道すからにさま〳〵の
見世店を仮にまうけ利潤たるも多かり
けるとかや案にたかはぬ繁昌は實に難有御佛なり

御寶物　御類焼　本願上人様
　御回向中霊寶拝見有之は悉取揃ひてそ有□【「け」か】る
　理然るを大地震發するや否即時に御院内
　類焼したるなれは焼亡の有無はしらすといへとも
　可察旧地霊場幾莫の寶物ならん可哀可恪【つつしむ】

光明を放つであろうと、物知り顔で
論じて知らずにしばしば憂いを凌いでいた。ここで
不思議とするのは、このような天変の後、御本仏をはじめ
として前立本尊、御印文を堀切道の
《割注：御本堂から丑寅（北東）の方角に当たり、畑の中に御仮小屋を建てる》
傍らに三月二十五日から
四月十六日まで安置申し上げた《割注：その画図を出さないのは、この場所にその印を残すためである》
《割注：よって後代もなお不十分であろう》
ところ、遠近諸国から参詣の旅人が引きも
切らずここに群集した。この道筋にさまざまの
見世物店を仮に設け、利益を得る者も多かった
ということだ。案に違わぬ繁昌は実に有り難い御仏である。

御宝物　御類焼　本願上人様
　御回向中、霊宝拝見があったものはすべて取り揃えてあった。
　しかしながら大地震が発生するや否や、即座に御院内が
　類焼したので、焼失の有無は分からないけれども
　察するべきことは、旧地霊場の幾ばくもの宝物であったろう。哀れで慎むべきことである。

would emit radiance, so they reasoned with knowing faces,
discussing without knowledge and temporarily dispelling their worries. What is
considered mysterious here is that after such natural disasters, starting with the main Buddha
and including the front-standing principal image and sacred amulets at Horikiri road,

and gathered here. Along this road, various
temporary shops and stalls were set up, and many
profited greatly from this, it is said. The prosperity that met expectations was truly thanks to the blessed Buddha.

　During memorial services, all sacred treasures that were available for viewing were assembled.
　However, as soon as the great earthquake occurred, the temple grounds immediately
　caught fire, so while we don't know what was or wasn't destroyed,
　one can imagine there were countless treasures at this ancient sacred site. How pitiful and solemn.
