一、この以後、九代将軍家重公、十代将軍家治公、十一代将軍家斉公、十二代将軍家慶公が諸藩主に封国証書を改めて賜ったかどうか、その写しを得ず。本封叙次考に云う、享保二年吉宗公がこれを賜った以後、封録税帖等も同例を以てこれを用い、万歳一般に推知すべし。因って筆を閣くと云々

One: Thereafter, whether the 9th Shogun Lord Ieshige, 10th Shogun Lord Ieharu, 11th Shogun Lord Ienari, and 12th Shogun Lord Ieyoshi granted renewed domain certificates to the various daimyo lords, copies of these could not be obtained. According to the "Honpō Joji-ko" (Investigation of Investitures in Our Country), after Shogun Yoshimune granted this in Kyōhō 2, domain records, tax registers, and the like followed the same precedent, which can be generally understood for all time. Therefore, I cease writing here, etc.
