軍資を運輸したことにつき、戦功として御褒賞一万五千
石を下賜される旨を仰せ出され、実に恐れ入り感激して何ともしがたく、
これは臣が微力ながら功を立てたことをもって厚典の御褒賞を蒙る儀、奉

One: In the first year of Meiji (1868), the year of the Earth Dragon, during the campaign against the imperial enemies in the Echigo region and elsewhere, [the domain] dispatched troops and
contributed military funds and provisions, which became the basis for imperial recognition. In the sixth month of the following second year, fifteen thousand

In the summer of the Earth Dragon year, when the rebel forces of Northern Echigo were rampaging fiercely,
[you] dispatched large forces, strove diligently in battles at various locations, and furthermore actively
transported funds and provisions, whereby the imperial army in the northern territories benefited
considerably from these resources, ultimately achieving the merit of pacification.
His Majesty's appreciation is profound, therefore as reward, fifteen thousand koku are granted.
