素より於慶寧にも宿意に御坐候間何卒々々

居りますところ、この頃追々藩土奉還の儀について建言の趣は、もとより慶寧においても宿意でございますので、何卒々々御一轍の天裁を伏して懇願いたします。誠恐誠惶謹言

右太政官日誌巻六十八明治二年六月二十五日の条にこれを載せ、明治九年六月前田利嗣君由緒書に云う。父従三位前田慶寧明治二年正月上京、同年二月八日願いにより御東幸供奉を仰せ付けられ、同日版籍奉還の儀を上表、同十九日召しにより参内し御誓約を仰せ付けられる《中略》六月十七日版籍奉還の儀は当春上表の通り仰せ出され、金沢藩知事を仰せ付けられる。

Where we reside, regarding the recent successive proposals for the return of domain lands, this has originally been Yoshiyasu's long-cherished intention, so we humbly and earnestly petition for uniform imperial judgment. With utmost reverence and fear, respectfully stated.

Regarding the current matter of returning domain registers, having deeply observed the current situation and broadly adopted public principles, with the imperial intention of unifying religious and political orders, your petition has been graciously accepted.
June Administrative Office
This is recorded in the Daijōkan Daily Record, Volume 68, entry for June 25th, Meiji 2. The genealogical record of Lord Maeda Tositsugu from June, Meiji 9 states: Father, Junior Third Rank Maeda Yoshiyasu, went to the capital in January, Meiji 2. On February 8th of the same year, by petition he was appointed to accompany the Emperor's eastern progress, and on the same day submitted a memorial regarding the return of domain registers. On the 19th of the same month, by imperial summons he attended court and was ordered to take an oath. 《Abbreviated》 On June 17th, regarding the return of domain registers, it was proclaimed as petitioned in the spring, and he was appointed as Governor of Kanazawa Domain.
