He wrote three books. The first was titled "Historic Fragments" (published in 1841), which compared and discussed the failures of the British Stuart dynasty with the circumstances of French history. The second was titled "Exercise of the Sugar Question" (published in 1842), which debated the products that had traditionally generated great profits in French colonies.
