 申上候処年来永き内宜相勤候段被  仰出御役御免被成下候   但引渡之義急ニ仕度由度々申達候処   跡役被 仰付候へとも廻国衆押付御当   地へ御出ニ候へ共新参被遣場所ニ   無之候間相勤候様被 仰付四月廻国使   軽井沢銀山并高田村山宿之節御用   相勤五月中御蔵方を始諸帳記   引渡御城御番相勤候事 一同年八月小川庄御代官病気ニ付仮  役被 仰付本役出勤迄相勤候事 一同三戌年四月金山奉行被 仰付候事 一同九辰年六月願之通御役御免被成  外様組付被 仰付一瀬伝兵衛組江入  御城御番相勤候事 一同十四酉年三月隠居之願申上候処  御免被遊間敷候間先相勤候様ニと被  仰出候事 一同十五戌年二月願之通隠居被  仰付候事

現代語訳

申し上げたところ、年来長い間よく務めている旨仰せ出され、役職を免じて下さった。  ただし引き継ぎを急いで済ませたいと度々申し上げたところ、後任が任命されたものの、廻国衆が押し付けで当地へお出でになったが、新参者を派遣する場所ではないので引き続き務めるよう仰せ付けられ、四月に廻国使として軽井沢銀山並びに高田村山宿の際の御用を務め、五月中に御蔵方をはじめ諸帳簿を引き継ぎ、御城の御番を務めた。 一、同年八月、小川庄の御代官が病気のため仮役を仰せ付けられ、本役が出勤するまで務めた。 一、同三年(享保三年、1718年)四月、金山奉行を仰せ付けられた。 一、同九年(享保九年、1724年)六月、願いの通り役職を免じられ、外様組付を仰せ付けられ、一瀬伝兵衛組に入り御城の御番を務めた。 一、同十四年(享保十四年、1729年)三月、隠居の願いを申し上げたが、お許しにならないので先ず務めるようにと仰せ出された。 一、同十五年(享保十五年、1730年)二月、願いの通り隠居を仰せ付けられた。

When he petitioned, he was told that he had served well for many years and was granted relief from his duties.  However, when he repeatedly requested to complete the handover quickly, although a successor was appointed, traveling inspectors had been imposed upon the local area, but since it was not a place to send newcomers, he was ordered to continue serving. In the 4th month, he served as a traveling envoy for official duties at Karuizawa silver mine and Takada village mountain lodging, and in the 5th month he handed over the treasury records and various account books and served guard duty at the castle. 1. In the same year, 8th month: When the magistrate of Ogawa-shō fell ill, he was appointed as temporary replacement and served until the regular appointee returned to duty. 1. In the same 3rd year (Kyōhō 3, 1718), 4th month: He was appointed as gold mine administrator (kinzan bugyō). 1. In the same 9th year (Kyōhō 9, 1724), 6th month: As petitioned, he was relieved of his duties, appointed to the external retainer group (tozama-gumi), joined Ichinose Denbei's group, and served castle guard duty. 1. In the same 14th year (Kyōhō 14, 1729), 3rd month: He petitioned for retirement, but was told it would not be granted and that he should continue serving for now. 1. In the same 15th year (Kyōhō 15, 1730), 2nd month: As petitioned, he was granted retirement.
