鶴（つる）に乗（のり）仙人（せんにん）となり虚空（こくう）を飛行（ひぎやう）すると云（いふ）夫（それ）と同（おな）し事（こと）で此所（このところ）を開基（かいき）有（あり）し滕王（とうわう）も笙（しやう）を
吹（ふき）鶴（つる）に乗（のり）時々（とき〳〵）北（きた）の玉台山（ぎよくだいさん）の頭（ほとり）をとびゆき過（すぎ）らるゝと云（いふ）げにもさもあらんと思（おも）はるゝ

現代語訳

鶴に乗って仙人となり空中を飛行するという、それと同じことで、この所を開基した滕王も笙を吹き鶴に乗って、時々北の玉台山のあたりを飛んで行き過ぎると言う。本当にそのようなこともあるだろうと思われる。

...riding cranes to become an immortal and flying through the sky - it is said that in the same manner, Prince Teng who founded this place also played the reed pipe and rode cranes, occasionally flying over the vicinity of Jade Terrace Mountain to the north. Indeed, one can well believe such things might be so.
