叛人（ほんにん）の陳敏（ちんびん）を亡（ほろほ）した功勲（こうくん）をしたひ思（おも）ふ還（かへつ）てとはこゝでは必（かならす）とみるがよい必（かなら）ず漢（かん）の高祖（かうそ）が
匈奴（きようど）にまけて匈奴（きようど）を婿（むこ）にしたやうな恥（はぢ）を雪（すゝい）で班超（はんてう）顧栄（こえい）のした軍功（ぐんこう）を持（ち）して
明君（めいくん）の恩（おん）を報（ほう）ぜんと思ふ

叛人陳敏を滅ぼした功勲を慕い思う。「還って」とはここでは「必ず」と見るのがよい。必ず漢の高祖が匈奴に敗れて匈奴を婿にしたような恥を雪いで、班超・顧栄のした軍功を持って明君の恩を報じようと思う。

英語訳

He yearns for and thinks about the meritorious achievement of destroying the rebel Chen Min. Here, "returning" should be interpreted as "certainly." He thinks that he will certainly clear away the shame like when Han Gaozu was defeated by the Xiongnu and made them his sons-in-law, and with military achievements like those of Ban Chao and Gu Rong, he will repay his enlightened ruler's benevolence.
