戌年五月草葉道清信士細川市
兵衛父と在之候へとも是又葬所
等も相分り不申候
一 寛文十戌年十一月親御擬作拾三石弐
人扶持外ニ壱人扶持為御関所料被下
置石間口御番所并船役御勘定ともニ二
十六年相勤候事
一 元禄七戌年五月私親最上之内関
田と申所ニ住ニ居仕夫ゟ在名を名乗来
候処先祖之細川と相改度旨被任願候
事
一 元禄八亥年五月願之通御役義被成
御免候事
一 同年十一月御年貢蝋役人被
仰付候事
一 同十四巳年二月二十三日病死法名季高

現代語訳
提所医徳山常慶寺の過去帳に「寛文十年
戌年五月草葉道清信士細川市
兵衛父」とあるけれども、これもまた葬所
等も分からない
一 寛文十年戌年十一月、親の御擬作十三石二
人扶持のほかに一人扶持を御関所料として下され、
石間口御番所並びに船役御勘定とも二十六年間
勤めた事
一 元禄七年戌年五月、私の親は最上の内の関
田という所に住んでおり、そこから在名を名乗って
きたところ、先祖の細川と改めたい旨を願い出た
事
一 元禄八年亥年五月、願いの通り御役義を
御免になった事
一 同年十一月、御年貢蝋役人を
仰せ付けられた事
