現代語訳

万暦三十年、冊使夏給事子陽・王行人士禎の船が花瓶嶼を過ぎた時、無風であったが波があったため神に祈ったところ、風を得て順調に済んだ。帰りの船では舵索が四度断たれ、三度舵を失い、大檣も折れたが、水面に突然神燈が現れ、異常な雀が来て集まり、東風が順風となって助けた。

崇禎元年、冊使杜給事三策・楊行人掄の帰りの船で暴風が起こり、舵の歯が数次折れ、舵索が皆断たれた。船中の三人が共に一本の奇楠香木を購入し、高さ三尺で千金の値であったが、これを捐げて聖像を刻んだところ、俄かに奇鳥が檣の先端に集まり、船は飛ぶように進んで一夜で福建に着いたという。

本朝康熙二年、冊使張兵科学禮・王行人垓の帰りの船が姑米を過ぎる時、暴風と豪雨が起こり、船が傾いて非常に危険であった。檣が左右に傾き、龍骨が半ば折れたが、突然螢のような火光があり、霹靂が起こって風雨の中で倒れた檣を截断した。舵が回転し続けて止まらず、舵索が皆断たれたため、神に祈って舵を起こすと、三度祈って三度応えがあった。縄を替えて舵を下ろす時、一羽の鳥がいて、緑の嘴と赤い足で雁鴨のようであり、戦台に止まった。船人は「天妃が遣わして引導されるのだ」と言い、遂に定海に達した。

康熙二十二年、冊使汪検討楫・林舎人麟焻の帰りの船で暴風が三昼夜続き、船が上下に傾いて水が船倉に満ちた。船全体で起き上がることのできる者はわずか十六人で、厨房の竈は漂流して没し、人々は皆飢えと寒さに苦しんだ。虔心に天妃に祈り、春秋の祀典に加えることを請うことを許すと、檣の締め具は断たれたが檣は散らばらず、頂上の縄は断たれたが帆は落ちず、波と共に上下して竟に...

In the thirtieth year of Wanli, when the investiture envoys Xia Ziyang of the Bureau of Scrutiny and Wang Shizhen of the Ministry of Personnel passed Flower Vase Island, there was no wind but there were waves. They prayed to the deity and obtained favorable winds to proceed safely. On the return voyage, the rudder cables broke four times, they lost the rudder three times, and the main mast also broke. Suddenly divine lanterns appeared on the water surface, strange sparrows came and gathered, and the east wind provided favorable assistance.

In the first year of Chongzhen, on the return voyage of investiture envoys Du Sance of the Bureau of Scrutiny and Yang Lun of the Ministry of Personnel, a hurricane arose, breaking the rudder teeth several times and snapping all the cables. Three men aboard the ship together purchased a rare aloeswood three feet high worth a thousand gold pieces, which they donated to carve a sacred image. Suddenly strange birds gathered at the tip of the mast, the ship moved as if flying, and reached Fujian in one night.

In the second year of Kangxi of our dynasty, when the return ship of investiture envoys Zhang Xueli of the Bureau of Military Affairs and Wang Gai of the Ministry of Personnel passed Gumi, a hurricane with torrential rain arose. The ship tilted precariously, the masts leaned left and right, and the keel was half broken. Suddenly there appeared flickering firelight, thunder struck, and in the wind and rain the fallen mast was severed. The rudder spun continuously without stopping, all cables were broken, so they prayed to the deity to raise the rudder. Three prayers received three responses. When replacing the rope and lowering the rudder, there was a bird with a green beak and red feet like a goose or duck that perched on the battle platform. The sailors said, "Tianfei has sent it to guide us," and they finally reached Dinghai.

In the twenty-second year of Kangxi, on the return voyage of investiture envoys Wang Ji of the Hanlin Academy and Lin Linzhuo of the Ministry of Personnel, a hurricane lasted three days and nights. The ship pitched up and down, water filled the hold, and of the entire ship's company only sixteen men could still stand. The galley stove was swept away and lost, and everyone suffered from hunger and cold. They fervently prayed to Tianfei, promising to request inclusion in the spring and autumn sacrificial ceremonies.
